PSN connection problems (12/24)

Firmware updates can be downloaded without signing in to PSN.

I'm on automatic here(PS4/Router), and can access all of PSN fine. Also, PSN was fine before the attack, so it probably just needs a little bit more work until it is sorted for everybody.

yea i cant get on psn either. my internet is fine but PSN wont connect. As a result I cant play the GTA i bought on the 24th. i reset my router and everything. this is just... unacceptable.

I was able to play FFXIV on Saturday night and all of Sunday (however I left it on all night on Saturday for fear I would have trouble connecting again). I thought the issues were solved, so I turned it off last night. Hopefully I'll be able to connect again. I can't believe how long this attack has lasted.

I did the MTU change to 1473 last night and it worked.

This is great for people on this forum but Sony should be tweeting this info to all its customers.

Eastern USA here. I did not change my MTU or NAT type. I am able to log in without any issues. Well dont know if that helps since I was able to log in during last Thursday and Friday without much issues. I hope the problem is solve for you guys soon.

The connection test succeeds for internet connection and fails for psn connection during the test. I can't get on or game online without changing my mtu settings now as well.

well right now it must be a nasty glitch because I just tested without MTU and it failed and with MTU it let me on. I would much rather be able to connect without having to alter MTU settings but its not working for me.

then explain why switching the setting back and forth makes PSN work/not work.
tried multiple times, seconds apart.

i know what the MTU does and i have no idea why it makes a difference, but it does.

just turned on today for the first time and i can't login without the MTU stuff, and when i can i can't use any kind of app because it says "can't connect to the servers", even if i can see friends online and the store

i hope they fix it for bloodborne release!

I can access without problems on PC Store and Account Manager through PC but there's no way on PS4 rebooting the console, router, changing MTU etc...
Someone kill that lizard piece of shit instead.

Same here, can get on and download stuff fine with 1473 setting, 1500 no dice.

PSN was working normally for me yesterday, but for some reason the Live Chat for support is not working at all. Maybe it's getting swarmed by PS4 users?

This sucks for me because I made a stupid mistake with my purchase :(

Also, changing MTU settings or whatever it's called WILL cause lag online (if it works). Don't change those settings, just wait until it's all fixed.

Same here. And just to put more salt in the wound I just got a mail confirming an auto-renewal subscription of Plus, but I can't connect verifying my licenses so can't play my plus games. :(
