I don't even want a Wii fit Trainer but If she becomes avaliable again I'll snatch her up just to complete wave 1.

I wish I was assigned Manhatten more then I could go by the Nintendo store. Sadly nothing good in Brooklyn
 
Just called Gamestop about the fact that my Captain Falcon had yet to arrive for in-store pickup. After waiting on hold for over an hour and then being told that they didn't have access to that online order because it was an in-store pickup, I sounded off a little bit. I can't believe there is no database for all orders placed online, regardless of shipping/pick-up method.

The guy was actually very accommodating after that. He reordered my Captain Falcon, Ike, Sonic, Shulk, and Dedede and gave me free 1 day shipping. Here's hoping everything actually arrives (and in one piece) but as of now, it seems they done good.

I'm jumping in very late into the discussion.

Can anybody tell me the rarity of:

Captain Falcon
Villager
Wii Fit Trainer
Little Mac
Luigi
Diddy Kong
Zelda

My local Argos has all of these in stock. I'm on my way to pick up Captain Falcon now, my first amiibo. I'm in the UK.

All of those except Zelda and Luigi are very rare and difficult to find in the US.

The Target near me had an army of Diddy Kongs yesterday. Are you sure he's supposed to be rare?

Ok, welp, after being disappointed about TRU canceling my nephew's Falcon and Pit orders, I decided to order him Link and Diddy instead.

He doesn't care about rarity, and I promised him 6, and two got cancelled, so I had to make it up.

I ordered Diddy and Link from Target for him. No problems. I hate Toys R Us.

If it's like when I got my GC adapter, it'll be packaged for you and they just scan the package when it arrives in store. But yeah no way to track which kinda sucks since my adapter just showed up.

Well how do you know when it arrives do they call or email you??? Or do You have to chase your package.

I got a text when Luigi finally showed up, only for the guy to yank one off the shelves when I went to pick him up. Maybe there were more in back put aside, but it didn't give me much confidence in my local store. After the stories of Best Buy employee funny business, the "winter storm delay" of Captain Falcon made me a little suspicious.

But yeah, the customer service rep basically created a new order for me, which will be shipped to my home. I am cautiously optimistic.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I got a text on Christmas Eve that my Captain Falcon had arrived for in-store pickup. When I got to the store, the employee had told me the text was an "accident" and had been sent automatically. According to him, they never got any. My suspicions were raised, but either way, my confidence in the store's preorder fulfillment was shaken.

Received two emails from TRU this morning. One was a shipping confirmation for Pit, and the other was a cancellation for Falcon. Nothing on Lucario yet.

I really hope this makes Nintendo reconsider retail exclusives, or at the very least leave TRU out of the list. Just glad I don't care for Lucario that much.

Really hope exclusives are just not a thing after this. Different colors I could understand but not a whole character.

Why does Target keep putting up pages for WFT, Villager and Marth then take them down later in the day without ever going live for sale?

TRU has done this too and bestbuy never took them down all say add to cart but then it says store pickup only... No stores in my area have anything...

Several gamestops in my area seem to be getting shipments of pit and falcon in today.

I was too slow on the first store that showed in stock, but I called the second and they held a pit for me.

Wave 2 finally complete! I also have all of wave 3 preordered including retailer exclusives. Time to relax for a bit.

Oh well, I need to stop obsessing. I got my nephew two more that he'll be happy with.

Alright, my Toys R Us Falcon order says "Item(s) located in stock." According to TRU, that means that the item is available and has been located in their warehouse. I assume this is a good sign, but I won't really believe it until it says "shipped."

If someone has the SKU number you can go to any inventory checker page and just change the number to find them.
