It's pretty evident some people are unable to read (not all mind),

Not sure if it's ignorance or just taking the piss so I won't bother with any more responses.

Thanks.

My Pug is in need of a mustache! I'd really appreciate it.

I was telling a Coworker about this new trailer today at work. He was talking about how what he had seen wasn't that interesting. Showed him the video and his interest went from 0 percent to day one.

Got to love the drive by shit posting :).

The art direction especially the character's outfits are freaking amazing. They look like they actually exist in that era.

SAME goes with some of the weaponry, minus the tesla gun.

I don't think your going to win this argument, even thought it's not much of an argument as the Order looks stunning.
It's just a fucking observation and no, I wasn't referring to the whole fucking art scheme. =/

I am really hoping they have been fairly furtive in their presentation of this game.

It would be really nice to learn that they have held back a wealth of content and story revelations and we will be pleasantly surprised by how much there is to uncover in this game.

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't mind spending $60 for a 10 hour campaign I only play once.

That's just how I have always rolled with games.

You're not the only one, I don't mind either. I have enough disposable income and it's the same as going to 4 films at the cinema, or spending one night on the piss(that's alcohol for those of you unfamiliar with the slang)

Yeah, it's actually still better value than going to the cinema, even at that playtime, and look how many people still turn out to see big budget movies these days.

Why has this game been plagued by bad trailers? If this game had a few trailers like this and a better E3 demo, it would be hyped to hell.

Yeah I mean I go to the theatre and spend $20 on an IMAX movie and $10 on popcorn and drinks and shit, basically works to almost $30 some times and most movies are like 2-2.5 hours long.

So $60 for a game that will last me 4-5 times that length and I will own forever doesn't trouble me.

Hopefully I'm not too late. So hyped. Been waiting a long time and enduring a lot of negativity while waiting but it's almost here and my preorder is in. Please can someone mustache my avatar and put me on the coach? Thanks!

My wife needs Valentine's gift ideas and I'm thinking of asking for this. Can't think of anything else. Too bad it doesn't come out until after Vday

dofry

That's "Dr." dofry to you.
Cheers, Imageready was having none of looping .gifs today for some reason.

Yeah, I thought I was loosing my mind because I though your pic moved. Turns out it did and I wasn't crazy.

Now, I am spenging too much time with nonsense like this:

But at least I am learning how to do point/feature tracking and gifs.

Excellent.

Nope. I've just seen the trailer. Apparently it's werewolves.

wow

I would really appreciate a link to where they've said this, because that is pretty bonkers tbh
Don't know exactly where but their creative director Weerasuriya gave an interview at the E3 reveal trailer in 2013 that states all the technology they make here could have been possible with what they knew then. It's supposed to be supernatural but grounded in a way. He even mentions the artists wanted the werewolves to be crazier but he said no so it would keep the theme of something that could have really existed during that timeline.

Gaf should really add a notification button when someone quotes you, would help quite a bit when someone quotes you. :\

Is it wrong to want a moustache on a company logo... don't want to be a stick in the mud and want to join in the fun lol :/

If anyone can find an appropriate place, would love one.

Now I had better go put my pre-order in.... Day 1 yay!

Honestly I use the same logic! Plus I've never minded paying full price for an SP only game for years like God of War, UC1 and such.

SP has more inherent value to me than MP. It's quality isn't dependent on other players or your internet connection and you can customize difficulty to suit your current mood instead of getting dropped into a game where you'll get steamrolled.

I'm also not sure what most people mean by replay value. If a linear title has a proper chapter select, I'll play my favorite sequences over and over if I have downtime and just want to play something for a few minutes.

My Carl has the best mustache. lol

I was not to sure about this game before. but I think I am going to give it a try. I loved the PSP God Of War Games from RAD. They were very good.

I wrote a very long post yesterday (before I deleted most of it :) about the cost of games and how in comparison they are not that expensive.

Took my wife and daughter for a meal - we spent 1.5 hours there, thats £35 please. Go to the cinema with the family (5 of us) for a 2 hour movie and a selection of food, you are looking at at least £28.

The great thing with my games, is as my kids get older they are playing them, I go back and replay some of them, there is no doubt that a £40 is getting it's money worth in my house. I mean considering replay value and having an item you can play again is pretty good in comparison to a one time thing like going to the pub, watching a movie at the cinema etc. In fact I rarely go to the cinema these days, because its cheaper and easier for me to buy the blu-ray and the whole family can watch it in the comfort of my home...

Anyway, before I go into a massive boring post, I agree :)

Yup I agree completely. I enjoy my share of MP/co-op games here and there but there's nothing like playing an enjoyable story driven game by yourself or passing the controller between friends when you die.

Even if The Order ever got a sequel with multiplayer, I'd probably still be looking forward to the SP side of things first!

Absolutely. I get slightly irritated when people say games like Uncharted (and probably The Order too) have no replay value. Put the game on the shelf when you finish it, and in 8 months or something you'll pick it up and go 'hey! I fancy playing this again!' and get a whole 'nother experience, where you'll probably notice new stuff and will have forgotten half of it anyway. Games are very long and usually have a lot of content - it's rare you get a game which doesn't have enough content to justify the value
(Destiny)
or which you won't get fun out of replaying again.

Anyone wanna hook me up with a mustache???

I think my only concern at this point is that the enemy AI seems to be pretty stiff. I mean the shooting looks exceptional, but it seems like a lot of the time the enemy AI is just standing there shooting without any type of reaction or visceral movement.
