According to GI, Nixxes is doing the 360 port. CD is focused on the Xbox One, and they claim they're doing it without even thinking of the 360 version.

I expected this (was optimistic), but it's good to here it from the devs themselves.

New screenshot of a desert looking environment...? Lara's lost her jacket and is in a tank top similar to the one she wore in the reboot.

I love the improvements already. The developers are going all out with this game. After taking care about the fundamentals, Rise of the TR will be the true game changer. I'm sure the content will surpass the stuff from the first one in every possible way. I can't wait to hear more from it. I was waiting day and night for some updates. I cannot thank Game Informer enough.

Actually, I think you can. :p

Since it's not confirmed and there has been no indication of it coming to PS4, I don't see how it's not port begging. People can be make all the assumptions they want about it coming to other systems, but for all we know, it could come to just PC. Like, yk, Ryse and Dead Rising. The same thing happened with those.

I'm pretty sure it's a year timed exclusive. MS even said as much.

Lara can now collect clothes, herbs, minerals, hides, as well as relics. Clothes + herbs are used to treat wounds. Grappling hooks can be crafted with rope and her climbing axe.

Yuck. I'm sick of games where I'm essentially a garbage man. Keep that crap on RPGs only.

Absolutely it could, I just don't think people are port begging, I think it's because they genuinely did think/do think it will appear on PS3/4 at some point down the line because of how Microsoft have worded it in their reveal and subsequent comments by Microsoft and Square Enix about it. I would buy it if it comes to PS4, since my PC wouldn't run it, but if it doesn't come to PS4, it's a great exclusive for Microsoft to have.

Can't fucking wait to play this used. /stillbitter

Probably just as excited for this as I am for Uncharted. The last time around TR was better than UC imo.

You're missing the point. It's not excitement for the cover, it's excitement for the game and the fact that being in the cover means people will get details on gameplay, scenarios, design, etc.

Grandmaster of condescension.

I read "Lara", "bushes" and "underwear" and got nervous.

I'm clearly not talking about people excited about getting new info on the game.

I like the bear on the cover. Can I play as the bear ?
I'm not really a TR fan. :p

Which means it could to PC which seems a lot more likely than MS pumping tons of money into a game that would come to PS4.

They've only said it was timed, which it is, but MS is publishing and pumping tons of money into it, if anything, a PC release seems more likely, nothing wrong with being hopeful, but the constant PS4 posts are unnecessary.

Forza Horizon 2 says hello.

Shadows of Mordor, too.

What makes you think that? Haven't hey already said exclusively on Xbox, just like they did with Titanfall?

PC, sure, I can see that. Ryse and DR3 did the same. PS4, possibly, but nothing to make people say they'll wait for that version.

I guess we'll see. It's just goi to be annoying seeing these post in every thread concerning the game.

Nope, after the second TF moneyhat, remember how they were all giddy about, saying it'd never, ever land on PS4?

WitH this one they keep using the phrase Holiday exclusive which implies its timed and when asked about other consoles they just kind of skirt arouns it. If it wasn't coming to PS4 they would specifically say so, to kill these rumors (Like they did for TF).

Like Sony did with SFV being completely specific about the terms of their deal

I don't believe for a second that they're making a puzzle or survival focused game, but if they can at the very least make a well designed shooter-adventure that relies less on the boring scripted events and overkill enemy numbers of the last game, I guess I'd take that.

Good point, but it was also confirmed for PC, so I think they could say it wasn't coming to PS4. Just like how SF is confirmed for PS4/PC, so they can say it's not coming to XB1. This will definitely come to PC, but they can't confirm that because they want to sell consoles this winter, so that's why they're just staying mum probably. If this was already confirmed for PC, I wouldn't be surprised if they said it would stay on those two.

Exactly this. If it was never coming to PS4 MS would have let us know as much by now.

Saying that the PS4 version will probably come after the PC version, which I'll probably just pick up in a steam sale or something. The first wasn't too good being honest, very much a steam sale kinda game and that's what I'm expecting from this.

Sounds like they might be incorporating a lot of the survival aspects to gameplay that the reboot was originally supposed to hav.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. Was a little too ambitious for the first game I guess. I remember reading they just couldn't get the systems working so they scrapped them.

The last big game for the Xbox 360. <3

(unless MGS V will get delayed)

Some of the comments are really weird. I am hyped as I loved TR reboot but I have no clue where that guy and some others seem to think this is GOTG material with no media released except for these shots.

I picked up on that also. I was convinced the posts weren't serious but now, who knows?

True as well but here's a question, why would MS care about Hiding a PC version? If it was only coming to PC later and not PS4 then they would say so (something like, it's exclusive to Xbox consoles forever, which still leaves the door open for a PC release).

I would be very surprised if this wasn't a timed exclusive, or possibly even delayed on playstation to avoid being cannibalized by Uncharted.

More stuff from the article.

- At least two different locations across the globe.
- Jonah is back from the first game
- Environment itself as the main antagonist.
- Cloth and herb to heal wounds.
- More than one of each weapon type.
- Variety of bows with different attributes.
- Weather system that animals and human enemies react to.
- Not sure if they confirmed a day night cycle or not, they mentioned "animals reacting to" time of day.
- Hub areas are two to three times bigger than previous game.
- Lara can climb trees, hide in bushes, swim.
- Pushing for pre planning aspect to engaging in combat, though sneaking past everyone isnt the goal.
- Tools for distracting enemies and luring them where you want them.
- You can lose the enemies after engaging them.
- Game informer says combat reminds them of the Last of Us.
- CD talks about doing more with tombs and puzzles this time around.

I'm not surprised, I caught the same vibe as well. Hilarious in a way.

If it wasn't coming to PS4 MS would be screaming that as load as they could. See, for example, the gloating they did with TF.

There's plenty of indication this will come to PC/PS4 Down the line.

See my thinking is at this point, it is exclusive to Xbox/PC in the west with a Japan/eastern PS4 port later. That way no one is really lying, just lot of blurred lines. Regardless I am pumped for this game.

Hmm, idk if the hyperbole is intentional or not, but it's not uncommon to get excited over an amazing game cover of a game supported by a good franchise, especially if it's one of your favorites.

I agree. The new gameplay details certainly should invoke excitement.

The pictures, eh, I mean they are nice but until its in motion, shouldn't we temper ourselves?!

I'm just an old grumpy fart I guess.

There it is.

So it's a Horizon 2 situation. Game will have the same general direction, but both versions will take as much advantage as they can of their respective hardware.
