I'd love to hear the differences between "Troubled Childhood", "Lone Survivor", and "Cruel Fate".
"Troubled Childhood" definitely gives you extra END. Iirc, "Lone Survivor" and "Cruel Fate" give you a boost in firearms and alchemy, respectively.
I think he is still trolling. Or probably he was trolling and now he's backtracking from trolling. The original context was that he had said that after dark souls he had moved on to working on something more lighthearted. That's where Bloodborne came from.
I don't think he's trolling. Seems like he would genuinely like to do something more lighthearted (not hard after Souls and Bloodborne!) I don't think he ever explicitly said that he would do something more lighthearted right after DS.
I think I've seen a footage somewhere that said to stagger Cleric Beast you need to shoot its head with a lot bullets, and that's how the player from footage able to pull his critical attack. I hope it's not like that though since spamming silver bullet just to stagger sounds very shitty, even moreso for players who picked bunderbluss.
Maybe, but the game isn't too stingy with Silver Bullet drops.
Anyway, I think the player/video that was spamming was just not used to it, as I'm pretty sure you can stagger the Cleric Beast by shooting at the last moment, just like other enemies (except the risk/reward is much greater with bosses, obviously).
I understand you probably can't say too much, but given what you've played of the game how do you feel it compares to Demons/Dakr/Dark 2?
Just wanna chime in here; I'm convinced you won't be disappointed if you enjoyed the Souls games. General movement feels kinda like Dark, in that it's weighty. Running and jumping feel a little more "grounded" if you're coming straight off DS2.
I never really understood the "fast combat" references to Demon's. My guess is that was always just journalist talk to get Sony fans excited. The only reason Demon's feels "fast" is because the combat isn't as tight as Dark, and combined with the slightly floaty movement the whole thing feels more arcadey. The combat in BB is entirely it's own thing, while still familiar enough to get to grips with.
