This one's really good actually. Simple, understated, not trying too hard, but effective.

I mostly game on PC but bought a PS4 for all the exclusives I thought I would be getting but so far none of the PS4 exclusives that are released or soon to be released interest me. My PS4 has been collecting dust from the lack of great exclusives. I really wanted to get excited about this game but every video and screen shot I see of this game just doesn't do anything for me. The game seems to be seriously lacking in color and I really don't like all that motion blur. Also not a fan of the black bars. From all the videos I've seen, the game is extremely pretty to look at but the gameplay is just too meh. Also the fps doesn't seem to be that great. Looks like the game is running at 24 to 30 fps. Gonna pass on this one. Maybe pick it up when it goes on sale for 20$.

Yes, in a very good way. I'll just repeat a bit of non spoiler stuff that I told viveks.

I was still playing Dying Light and picked up Evolve today. The only thing I have done is Install Evolve, Download the 3GB day 1 patch, redeemed my two codes along with my season pass code and went back to Sir Knight. I am going to stay away from the forum until the game launches out of respect for RAD. (met a few of them and they are really cool dudes.) I am going to say this before I go, the subtlety in the acting performances especially between Galahad and Lafayette is fucking amazing .This along with the gameplay, sound, setting , controls .... yea crows .... crows will be everywhere.

What can I say? Game is amazingly well-crafted in practically all aspects. Gameplay is tight, visuals are amazing and oh boy, alternate London setting is just overwhelming. Yes, the cinematic feeling is there from framing to lighting to narrative, but the gameplay is as good as any other good old classic TPS game, even better. I’m a big fan of Gears Of War, loved all four entries (Judgment too, had a blast playing it a year ago), but.. this.. THE ORDER 1886, is the superior game. For me, it is the defining TPS of this generation, can’t see any similar game doing better in the next few years at least. Kinda bitting my tongue here but, get ready for plenty of surprises because non of the trailers tell much.

I'm just saying take his impressions with a grain of salt. He says The Order is the defining TPS of this generation and we are a little more than a year in. There is a new GOW on the horizon with multiplayer and other games we don't know of coming down the pipeline.

Hey, I agree, though I hope they do 100fps movies, 48 is just far too low a bar to set (oh DOUBLE 24 fps...lol) and confuses people as it visually looks just like fast-forwarded video.

For now though The Order looks like doing a good job of replicating the look of a real film which I appreciate.

I dont think anyone who debates 1080p over 900p or is frequent poster in screenshots thread can appreciate this post processing, it destroys IQ.

Ryse's IQ (at least on the Xbox One), whilst very good overall, will unlikely have the cleanliness and consistency of The Order 1886. Although rare in Ryse, I doubt we'll get this level of random aliasing in The Order. I'm also going to hazard a guess that when stationary, The Order 1886 will have more macro detailing too, but I guess it remains to be seen.
