PSN seems to have self-destructed. I had to retry like 26 times to download the update, and after the update I can't log into PSN, gives error SU-30709-9.

Glad someone finally posted a thread about it, I was having trouble connecting to my PS4 since it was asking me for a update that couldn't even be downloaded. (Works now, though ..edit: Nope, scratch that, still can't download it) In Canada also.

So...this is strange
When I go to "test internet connection" it says "Failed" under "Internet Connection"
If I can't sign into PSN, shouldnt it fail on the PSN Sign in part? It's almost like my PS4 can't connect online at all

It will not let me update. It keeps stopping...
There must be an overload of people trying to download the update. I'm also having trouble, keep getting error (SU-30709-9) :/

I can't even play Guilty Gear Xrd because it says the network failed to initialize. I thought PS4 games were immune to this online check-in nonsense.

I turned off my PS4 entirely and booted it back up, did internet connection test. It found a connection and said I must update software
I hit "Update now" got a loud BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and my ps4 just hard crashed off

I fixed my downloading issue.
Go to your downloads, delete the update file (unless it finished I suppose, this is for people who can't download it).
Delete failed update file.
Restart PS4.
Download should start automatically.
Mine finished no problem after I deleted the original one and restarted the ps4.
