I'm kind of curious to know what exactly those racist chants were, particularly when it comes to Tottenham. I would find it rather ironic if a large percentage of them were for shouting 'Yid Army'. What basically they call themselves.

Edit: This made me laugh.

On one occasion when Spurs fans sang “Yids”, West Ham supporters responded with loud shouts of “Racists! Racists!”

Not only were the chelsea fan's caught out in an outright lie, by claiming they didn't let the victim on the train because he was a 'PSG' fan and the fact they were singing
"We're racist, we're racist and that's the way we like it."
was just pure coicidence.....but they have just dragged their captain through the mud again.
He added: "That song was about John Terry. The only words I know is 'he's a racist, he's a racist' and I don't know the rest."

Cardiff 0 and QPR 0 shows how arbitrary it is.

Aye. Cardiff's fans are fucking atrocious.

There's too many variables for a list like that to be used as any sort of conclusive proof. Certainly with Tottenham and some of the other London clubs there is a known racist undercurrent there, which dictates the strength of policing to specifically target certain issues.

Also a bit baffled by the ambiguity of "Sheffield". Is that us or United?

Remember for that list some clubs may be better/worse at dealing with these people than others, it's only a list of what the clubs have banned

It would be nice if the spotlight stays on the offending team's fans, why bring Liverpool into the picture, deflect blame?

Yes deflect blame. That's what we want to do. Bringing Liverpool (or other teams) into the picture isn't a reactions to generalisation of our fanbase, but we're all secret racists in disguise and want people to think Liverpool (and other teams) fans are in fact racists, while we continue denying black people the right to get on trains.

lol how is this behavior just accepted? if fans were doing nazi salutes at u.s. sporting events shit would implode quickly. i dont understand why Europe seems to be so tolerant of fascism.

It isn't. Just like every police officer in the USA isn't racist.

It's not nazist, it's fascist. A salute from a 'camerata' to 'camerati'. <paolo di canio>

Someone I know is an aspiring journalist, she's only 18 but doing really well.

Last night incidentally she challenged a journo who claims to work for Chelsea on something and he basically called her a slut and said women know nothing about football.

If kicked off a bit and he deleted all the tweets and then threatened to ruin her career.

She's reported him to the club but not sure what's come of it.

The only way to rid the game of these racist scumbags is a 10-point penalty reduction for Chelsea, exclusion from the Champion's League and banning Costa for a month, and a 5-point reduction for Tottenham because. And I say this as an unbiased neutral fan.

I didn't know Andy Gray worked for Chelsea

Funny thing is we'd probably still win the title with those restrictions.

sounds like something you'd want people to know so the guy has nowhere to hide in respects to any attempts to ruin her career. And screens of the tweets, google cache or whatnot?

Despicable behaviour.

Not caught up with it today but this was in the middle of it all

@annalouiseadams: . @SamPeeCFC I'm on about these. http://t.co/a3ON2cIpve

Looks like he deleted his account today

Edit - she has confirmed he was a wannabe and not employed by the club just a nobhead fan fair play to chelsea for looking into it and getting back to her

I only just noticed, but you can see a number of other black passengers jump off (at least three by my count) before the video ends.

Disgusting. So not only did they not let the at the guy beginning of the clip on, they forced others off with their pathetic chanting.

What's almost as disturbing for me are these stories about Parisian police assaulting Chelsea fans outside the stadium. Heavy handedness by the police is nothing new and is par for the course. I don't have to like that though. For the most part football fans have an undeserved reputation, I thimk. There will always be a core support that are essentially pieces of shit. But the majority are fairly decent people. I dislike the broad strokes associated with enforcement on match day. We're a long way removed from the bad old days of mob violence and yet match going fans are still treated as dangerous hooligans.

I suspected as much.

That'll get swept under the rug of "they probably deserved it".

The list only proves how well the clubs deal with racism. There could easily be more racism at Liverpool but it is just ignored.
Such an ignorant comment to make. How do you know for certain that racism 'is just ignored' at Anfield? You don't. Much like we don't know how much racism is swept under the carpet at all football clubs in the UK. Again, singling this out to one or two clubs can only mean you're blind, stupid, or ignorant. Or a Chelsea supporter.

mediocrity at its best
They aren't on the whole.

You'll find that a lot of us are assholes though, and we come in many flavours of asshole. Most of us are just ornery fuckwads, but you get some special ones every now and then that like to raise the bar, push the game forward. The Willy Wonkas of asshole flavour variety, if you will.

We mostly call them UKIP or football hooligans.

I know. I don't actually think most British people are racist. It was joke because whenever something bad happens in the US you get 50 posts in the thread going OMG US SO STUPID.

Aye. Cardiff's fans are fucking atrocious.

Yeah, we're real animals. You take you life in your hands coming down here for a match...

Cardiff City have topped a poll of thousands of Premier League fans as having the best away-day experience - and Swansea City have come second.

The Bluebirds top-scored in marks given by supporters filling out the Football Supporters' Federation annual away fans' survey.

Fans from across the divisions were asked to rate their away day experience out of 10 and Cardiff scored the highest average of 8.05 while Swansea City were second with 7.4.

Cardiff have made a conscious effort to improve the matchday experience for all fans in recent years - winning the Football League's Family Club of the Year gong twice in the process.

so people are just cool with fascists doing this, like theres no outrage? cause dude in the photo looks like he's right at home doing that lol.

That Chelsea fan is almost definitely doing it in reference to the nazi use of that salute (as in a far-right, BNP, EDF, neo-nazi like context), the guy you quoted is linking Di Canio and that other fascistic element without basis.
Either way, there is outrage. Though for a load of people to air such disgust here would just be met with #notallChelseafans, whataboutism and a flurry of anecdotal dismissal. Not all necessarily unwarranted, mind, but none of it will further the conversation in this thread at all.

No, we are not cool with them. So we don't want to give them any media attention. Mostly just let the police do their work.
