Oh man, the Splatoon Special Edition was sold out? I hate myself for not having the cash to drop a preorder on it day and date.

Eurghh I want the special edition with the squid amiibo and the t-shirt so bad, I have the checkout up and everything but don't have the money, my brother does though and he owes me, but I have to wait for him to finish his League of Legends game and i'm paranoid that it's going to go out of stock while I'm waiting.

It's been up for preorder in the UK for sub-30 GBP for weeks. We've known that, yea. It's full-price in the US though. The eShop preorder price is $59.99
What the hell, NoA is hosing us.

It does charge RRP though which can make it noticeably more expensive. Especially when an exclusive SKU is involved (most limited editions). Hyrule Warriors is a good example. Pre-orders for the standard game could be found for £30 at various retailers but the scarf edition was £50 making it a pricey luxury.
Assuming the pricing rather than the store.
NOE pricing tends to convert like so on Wii U using RRP:
£35=€40
£40=€50
£50=€60
They certainly wouldn't do more favors than that to the UK considering the eShop prices are still the €1=90p levels set by the DSi shop in 2009.
For stores, nope UK only. Run by The Hut (aka Zavvi) so could easily expand if NOE wanted it to. For the Ambassador 3DS system UK customers ordered via that store while NOE made a special store for everywhere else. Long ago we did have something called nindie (you could order first part games at RRP and indie stores would send them to you, the only time I heard of anyone using it was when they had wii points cards for £0.00...) so maybe it is legacy from that.
You'll get your own back somehow...I remember Wind Waker HD being €60 here compared to $50. I think it is quite interesting the different regions are starting to pin things to different price tiers though frustrating at the same time.

Seriously, that's some shit. For roughly what we'll pay in the states, European customers will get three free amiibo. Or they can keep some money in their pockets and still get one amiibo or a tee shirt. I hope you Gaffers in Europe are enjoying your Nintendo paradise, because NoA has fallen off the wagon.

Good point. Well, hopefully that'll be NoE's standard price bracket. NoA's turf might be a Nintendo wasteland, but I hope other regions have it better.

SMH. Why is NoA treating us like a red headed stepchild? Come onnnnnnnn.
At first it just seems like a less effective roller, but then I noticed it basically lets you run full-speed into enemy territory without getting bogged down in paint AND it doesn't have the roller's slower speed. I think there'll be some interesting strategies for it down the line.
