It should be a lot better than last year's by default given current gen development finally being in full motion. I'm not going to leak or tease anything that I haven't already though, because things can change, especially when Sony has a fetish for pushing things back and leaks ruin the surprise.

Last year, Bloodborne would have had a much bigger impact here if Project Beast wasn't leaked beforehand and the same for Street Fighter V at PSX.

Well its 2 months away and EVERYTHING from Microsoft hasnt already leaked so they are doing better then the last 2 years.

Sony's stuff always leaks the week before though. SCEA couldnt keep a secret to save their lives.

Maybe I'm too used to Sakurai but I don't believe Nintendo one bit when they say Zelda U will not be at E3, and it's not even because I think they said that to make it a surprise when they do show it since it got delayed. I think they either a) changed/will change their mind sometime between that announcement and E3 and show some footage or a trailer, or b) they flat out lied and there will be a full trailer of Zelda Wii U confirming the title and a 2016 release, much like E3 2010 and Skyward Sword. I would pretty much bet on b.

Mainly because previous conferences... were not that good and the biggest surprises were leaked weeks in advance.

Really not hyped for this E3 at all. I expect it to be a weak transition year for Nintendo, and we already have a good idea of what the other two consoles are capable of and what software we'll probably see. The games will be great, but they won't be megatons, you know? There won't be anything like that showdown between Sony and Microsoft two years ago with new boxes on the way. That was intense.

I'm hoping for Fallout 4 and some other surprises; but that mid-gen stuff can't excite as a reveal as much as new hardware or the first batch of games for new hardware, even if it ultimately becomes the most fondly remembered content from a generation.

Honestly, I think both Microsoft and Sony are going to have Amazing E3 showings. This year should be filled with new IPs especially for Sony. I really hope we do not see any leaks from either company.


Sony has been really good about hiding what their 1st party studios are really up to. I would like them to blow the doors open on what is going to be coming out for the next eighteen months following E3. I really believe they have the most to show at this years E3 but I would not count anyone out yet.


Nintendo is the wild card. I have no idea what Big N has planned but I cannot wait to see it. Hopefully they don't kill off the 3DS this E3 and let a little more dust set on my New 3DS Xl lol J/K. Unless they announce that they plan on having a big conference I do not see them releasing any sort of new console. As long as its a Nintendo Direct we should see some cool games coming out from them. I would love to see them revamp the Wii U interface and Online infrastructure this year. I just don't think they will waste the resources doing that with this console.

Finally I think Microsoft is going to finally show off the benefits of having Phil Spencer in charge. By this E3 almost everything is under Phil's rein, and we should be able to see his direction of the Xbox brand. As of now we know that Hololens is going to be shown at the Microsoft conference. I kind of wish that was not the case. I really think that device really needs to have its own unique conference than to be thrown in with the Xbox.

After last year i think most interesting announcements for me personally will come from Gamescom. E3 usually has a lot of games i'm not that interested in. Hoping to see some good RPGs other than Fallout.

We should get details on this by Nintendo's Fiscal Year Earnings Release for FY 2014 on May 7. Last year Nintendo gave information on their E3 plans on April 29.

Haven't heard any firm details though, but I know some companies have started sending out information on dates of press conferences. Ubisoft will have its press conference on Monday, June 15, 3pm PST, though this is only tentative.
