What kind of new SKU would there be from PS4 side? Bundles available much later in the year and 1TB jet blacks available right away?

Can't have a hype thread without overhyping Microsoft conference. They buy all the exclusives. :p

Since Sony like doing 2am conferences which run for 2 hours. I have booked the next day off.

Need For Speed Underground 3

Or at least I hope so..

This image came out during the lead up to the Battlefront reveal

I wouldn't really expect and Underground game based on that image. But the car does have a livery on it, which is certainly a change from recent NFS games. So it may be a game that takes some things from the Underground series.

Sony hasn't had a sales chart at E3 in like 7 years.

Yeah, 2008 with the LBP presentation is the last time I remember them doing a sales chart. They'll certainly mention how much the PS4 has sold during E3, but I don't expect them to spend much time on it.

The requisite mention of PS4 sales milestone through June will lead the show. Are they at 25 mil yet?

I hope for The Last Guardian but will be happy to be blown away by Ratchet & Clank. I hope they can do it.

I doubt it. They didn't do it last year. Don't see it this year either. They have such limited time for all the stuff they have to show, it would be silly to waste any time on that. Everybody knows how well PS4 is selling anyway.

Gamescom however, that's a different story. Jim Ryan loves sales announcements.

Star Wars BF trailer and stage demo. Exclusive content on PS4.

I think that they will announce it if they hit 25m by E3. Last year there was no announcement because they seemed to be waiting for the 10m number, which was hit around the time gamescom happened. It really won't take much time if they say "We're happy to announce that the Playstation 4 has sold through 25 million units worldwide. Thanks for your continued support." and just leave it at that.

You know what, you're right.

I just don't want them to waste time on non-game content.

I hope Sony get some marketing rights to some Western RPG's this generation. Microsoft had a monopoly on all of them last generation, Fallout, Skyrim, Mass Effect, Dragon Age and The Witcher.

New Predicitons:

Sony:

  • Will start 7-10 Minutes late
  • 20 Minutes Spent on Battlefront
  • 15 Minutes Spent on Black Ops 3
  • 15 Minutes Spent on Uncharted 4 (Please Understand)
  • 10 Minutes Spent on Trailers for Batman Arkham Knight and MGS5
  • 10 Minutes Spent on Destiny's Expansion
  • PS Vita 3000 Announced: Sony tries to convince us it isn't dead. The only compelling games are Indie Titles and ports. Probably 10-15 Minutes.
  • Morpheus Blowout with No Man's Sky. Both will launch in April 2016. 20 Minutes.
  • Short 30 Second CGI Teaser for Horizon by Guerilla. Fall 2016 date.
  • No Last Guardian. Ratchet Remake and Bend Title for Gamescom.

Microsoft:

  • 20-30 Minutes Spent on Halo 5. Second Halo 5 Beta announced.
  • 10 Minutes on Rise of the Tomb Raider with Demo
  • 5 Minutes on Forza 6. Will be almost a carbon copy of the last 4 Forza E3 Presentations but a new car will be on stage and the graphics will be shiner.
  • Assassin's Creed Victory Gameplay 5 Minutes
  • Rainbow Six Siege Demo 10 minutes. Going hard on this after (potentially) losing CoD Marketing
  • DEUS EX: MANKIND DIVIDED TRAILER AND DEMO BECAUSE FUCK YEAH THAT"S WHY (2016)
  • Quantum Break Gameplay Demo. March 2016.
  • Scalebound Demo. Crashes GAF. Will probably be the greatest demo at E3 but the media will ignore it. Probably an April 2016 Release.
  • Gears Collection because there's no way this isn't happening. If it isn't shown then Gears 4 is a 2017 Game.
  • Battletoads announced. MS tries to make it seem like some massive megaton announcement even though literally everyone sees it coming. Will look good though and release this fall.
  • Something Banjo-Related will be there but it will be very brief and probably really condescending.
  • The Division Demo. GAF yells downgrade. Ubisoft will still try to convince us that it's coming this year even though everyone knows it won't.
  • Gears 4 Teaser. CGI.
  • Nothing from Crackdown. Or at least nothing other than a very brief trailer.

Nintendo:

  • Nintendo is aware that the humor from last year was a big hit and will either try too hard to replicate it or it will actually be better than last year.
  • New Smash Bros characters that aren't Snake, Bayonetta, Wolf, or Ridley. Whoever Nintendo chooses for the winner of the contest will actually be the 5th or 6th character with the most votes since the top 4-5 they either won't have the rights for or won't want to make.
  • More from Mario Maker
  • More from Yoshi's Wooly World with an actual release date this time (October)
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X trailer. Release date in November.
  • Animal Crossing Wii U Announced. November. Would be a bigger surprise if this doesn't happen.
  • Star Fox briefly shown then delayed to 2016. Please Understand, still coming out before Zelda.
  • AMIIBOS EVERYWHEREEEEEEEEEE
  • SMT x Fire Emblem Shown. GAF flips out again.
  • Something Metroid Related? Please? Nintendo? Like, seriously? I kinda want this. . .a lot. . .

EA:
  • STAR WARS EVERYWHERE
  • Mass Effect: Subtitle announced. GAF will both love it and be completely indifferent.
  • Obligatory Madden, FIFA, and NHL
  • Mirror's Edge Trailer but no gameplay

Ubisoft:

  • Every game is running on a NASA Supercomputer
  • Asssassin's Creed CGI Trailer that is in no way representative of the final product
  • Rainbow Six Siege Trailer that unnecessarily dramatizes everything
  • Watch Dogs 2 Announced. No Aiden Pearce. :)
  • Open World Splinter Cell Announced. Ubisoft will make it look like it is not just MGS5 with the Ubisoft Open World Formula

Bethesda:

  • FALLOUT 4 ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER WITH GAMEPLAY DEMO AND NOVEMBER 2015 RELEASE. COMPLETELY SWEEPS ALL GAME OF SHOW AWARDS.
  • DOOM 4 BLOWOUT WITH BETA THIS FALL FULL GAME MARCH 2016
  • DISHONORED 2 DEMO WITH 2016 RELEASE
  • SOME STUFF WE ACTUALLY DON'T EXPECT
  • BETHESDA NEVER HOLDS AN E3 CONFERENCE AGAIN BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY CAN NEVER TOP THIS

Better yet, how about they actually MAKE some WRPGs themselves? I don't know why SCEWWS doesn't dabble into RPGs with high production values.

Posts like these are really dumb. Sony spent 5 minutes on Destiny last year. The only games that will get close to that this year are Star Wars, Uncharted, and maybe MGS V.

Don't Microsoft have a few years left on there deal with Activision? I thought it ran until 2017.

There won't be a 20 minute gameplay of Battlefront. That would be EA's conference. At most it will be exclusive content and a bundle.

I think it was going to expire last year which is why everyone thought Sony would get it last year too.

Didn't they do that with asscreed a couple years back?
And this is so much bigger

5 Minutes tops for Assassin's Creed if I remember correctly. Yes Battlefront is a big title but it won't be likely Call of Duty as Microsoft's conference since EA have their own conference to show their stuff off unlike Activision.

My prediction is that Microsoft exercises the nuclear option and goes full-on Valve, partnering with select hardware makers to create multiple Xboxes running the Xbox software, made possible via low-level abstraction in DX12.

Suddenly the Xbox One name makes a lot more sense.

If by nuclear you mean cratering sales and killing off the brand, then sure.
