Fascinating

Jesus. First PC master race, now you're a republican?

It's like I don't know you any more.

Man, is it easy to stir the pot.

I've once again gotten burned out by the Destiny grind, and damn, I really wish Halo 5 was out now. Or that Halo MCC worked. I've been watching The Sprint episodes for the first time and it's a really great series. Can't wait for it to come back. Can't believe it doesn't have more views on Youtube!

You don't gotta be a republican to not like Obama.

The sprint is interesting because its a look behind the curtain. But at the same time, they should focus all steam on both halo 5 and fixing the monster that is the MCC.

Speaking of which, can anyone confirm if there is more BR starts in the MCC? Or is that coming later?

Can confirm that BR starts are much more prevalent.

Yeah, cause the guys that make promotional videos also do coding....

There's still a camera crew traipsing around the office, asking questions and getting in people's faces. You don't see how that might disrupt things a smidge?

(I realize that this characterization is unfair to the guys who shot The Sprint, just trying to make a point is all)

Not what I'm saying. I'm saying that they should focus on the games instead of talking head style interviews.

I just want a game that works on launch. If ODST doesn't work on release then what?

Do we keep pushing the goal posts until Guardians comes out?

I'm honestly trying to keep my salt to a minimum but after a week of trying to play MCC again, Christ

The developers didn't make the videos. They probably have a production media team that does that kind of stuff. Still though I agree full steam ahead on halo 5 and MCC.

Sup Rag, good to see you back. You have indeed toned it down, good job mate lol.

Idk, the fact that ODST doesn't have Firefight just completely ruins the appeal anyways. I'm fully expecting problems. The fact that the game still has problems (even campaign save related bugs) right before a new campaign comes out...there is a huge chance this thing will have problems "not experienced during in-house testing."

The only reason I'm at all optimistic for H5 is the fact that it's a different team that has been dedicated to creating this for years.

Got some games in with Gringo, and i have to say, they worked pretty well for the most part, even though we got matched with a lot of the same people for several games which spells big trouble for the population.

SMG starts are still a thing which is horrible.

This part saddened my soul. And SMG starts reminded me the world is a cruel uncaring place.

Still, it was great to actually play matches that worked and weren't missing people or crashing.

LOL, same. Back at launch I played for almost 2 months before getting bored, but now I didn't even last two weeks. The Prison of Elders has been pretty disappointing too, definetly not a very good substitute for Firefight (I hope 343 includes it in the MCC eventually)

Has anything been said in regards to Australians being able to play in one playlist at only peak times yet?

It's been like this for months, why hasn't it been fixed...

Nah, 343 is doing a great service to fans by making The Sprint. The hype train for Halo 4 was pathetic compared to how Bungie handled things and a lot of people (like me) wished 343 would come across as more personable and candid. The Sprint fits the bill perfectly. Plus it's just interesting as hell.

Yeah, there's so much untapped potential in Firefight. Bungie dropped the ball with PoE imo. I hope 343 brings it back and does it right in Halo 5.

Even though Reach's firefight get's knocked a lot around here, you gotta admit the customizable parts made it soooooo good. I played that for hours with my wife when we were engaged. It got her into video games.

We would increase our base speed and give ourselves super powerful shotguns. Put it on the hardest difficulty and just go crazy. I think the Reach shotgun was my favorite, besides CE's.

besides a few armor abilities, I thought Reach was really fun

I don't know why they didn't put in an endless version where every 5 rounds or so you could choose to cash out on loot. Could have been like 50 waves total, and if you beat all 50 you'd be showered with exotics (or something).

Its alright, but I thought ODST Firefight was better in terms of how it flowed. Also, I'm gonna get pretty tired of those same 4 arenas.

Good job HaloGAF

You've made Halo just a little bit tastier. I sure hope Gaurdians has those cinnamon swirls in every bite.

If it's any consolation, you're doing a good job

I had a pretty fun FF variant set up called Hunter Punter or something similar. Optimally it was done on Corvette; the waves consisted of ~80% Hunters and like 20% Grunts to back them up, and players spawned fully cloaked with Energy Swords, and you couldn't pick up weapons. The idea was to sneak around and kill all of the Hunters in the allotted time limit because there was only one life per round, but it was also possible to get them to kill eachother, distract aggro'd Hunters using one player, etc.

I wonder how Legendary weapons will be in the campaign. Or for that matter if they'll even exist in it. Probably not I'd think since they have story tied to them.

Depends on the weapon, I suppose. The hypothetical Keyes Pistol will probably be a no-show, but I could see Prophet's Bane making an appearance.

They're bringing the SPNKr back. Imagine some part of the campaign where Chief is on that old human colony or something where there is a monument. Maybe the road ahead has Scarabs or Banshees, maybe he finds a cache of old weapons that have been there for a while, and in it is the legendary SPNKr, etc. Locke might have a few missions with Arbiter, maybe one mission is traversing through his Covie ship that has the Prophets Bane etc.

I've always wanted old weapons to make cameo appearances in the campaigns. I would have loved if you'd been using OG skinned BRs and weapons on the Dawn until you linked up with Infinity

I'm going to be cautiously pessimistic about the release of ODST until I have reason to believe it isn't fundamentally broken.

Can't imagine Arby going into battle with that head dress. Though I guess if the Elite Honor guards were a thing...

This would actually make sense.

I suppose the only weapon we have so far that is directly connected to a person would be the PB and as Madness points out, Locke could do some missions with the Arbiter. It'd be so cool to have a few throwbacks in levels. Like an area (or opening) reminiscent of "The a Silent Cartographer.
