DMC5 doesn't have to be an exclusive since DMC4:SE isn't either. We'll get a PC version for sure so don't be unreasonable.

The last two E3s Nintendo has revealed gameplay footage of a third-party exclusive after their digital event. Wonderful 101 on Spike TV in 2013 and Devil's Third on IGN in 2014 (with a showcase on treehouse the next day).

That's my bet, it fits the pattern. Maybe Nintendo has finally handed over one of their cherished I.Ps to Platinum.

My dream is a new Vanquish though.

You must not have played the original DMC recently. Even though DMC 2 is trash, it somehow aged better than the shit that is the original DMC.

Based on the article I'd have to say it's Viewtiful Joe: Revengeance. Or Metal Gear Rising 3, but I don't think that'd make a good mobile game.

Is that how it happened? God damn. No wonder he, Inaba, and Mikami vacated Capcom after God Hand.

PG making DMC5... I have no idea how I would feel about that but most rumors point towards an internally developed DMC5.

I am hoping this is Vanquish 2 or MGR2!

Whatever it is, I am betting it is a multi-plate game. If it was an exclusive, then it would be announce at one of the conferences since Platinum Games tend to get gamers going despite their games not really being big sellers.

Could be a low key title given how late it's being announce too, but we will see. This is E3 after all.

I really hope it wasn't a hint at DMC. Not only would it be a horrible way to 'hint' something. But DMC5 by Kamiya is not something I want to see.

His style works better with games like W101 anyway...

Yeah guys, after firing Kojima, getting rid of Kojima Productions and stating that they will be refocusing on mobile, I'm sure Konami of all people is gonna fund an expensive sequel to a mildly successful niche spinoff, which I'm sure is not successful at all when you compound the expenses of the previous disastrous development phase.

Best to keep expectations in check so that you're not disappointed later on when reality comes crashing down on you.

I expect nothing.

DMC1 has yet to be equaled, nevermind surpassed, in enemy design in the series. Even with advancements in character action combat mechanics, labeling DMC1 as "shit" is hyperbolic tripe.

It doesn't say anywhere IGN will announce it. That's the point. They just say they have the scoop.
