Ratchet and Clank (PS4) - First Trailer [Up: 8 minutes of gameplay, $40]

Goddamn at the visuals, looks Pixar-quality.. I'd like more animated/cartoony-looking games like this this gen. Games like Knack, PvZ:GW, Sunset Overdrive all look great thanks to the increased power of the new consoles. It's not just realistic visuals that benefit from new hardware.

But yeah, the pre-order exclusive content at the end

My brain has adblocked those.

looking at how they changed up some of the story judging by this trailer I am guess this is more of a franchise reboot to coincide with the movie

I wonder if Sly will get the same treatment seeing as it is getting itself a blockbuster film

Looks like the PlayStation 4 is weaker then the PlayStation 3. The PS3 actually could handle real-time weapon switching.

Sweet Christmas!

As a HUGE Ratchet and Insomniac fan, I am so pumped for this game! It's a shame it couldn't make it this year, but I'll live. R&C is one of my favorite gaming franchises ever. I have the HD Collection permanently installed on my Vita so I can get my fix on the go!

Trailer was great. Looks gorgeous also.

The footage looks outstanding. Easily the best graphics Insomniac has does for any game. The trailer says it's "in-game footage" but the aliasing looks too clean to be in-game. The footage may have been touched up in post? Maybe someone from Insomniac can clarify.

Anyway, as a R&C fan I'm excited for Insomniac to deliver a top notch title that brings back some of the best gameplay of previous versions combined with state-of-the-art PS4 graphics.

There's actually in game gameplay that's been released so you can see how it looks for real.

That has now put this remake/movie game on my to buy list for apparently 2016. Game really looks good and hopefully nothing at all similar to first R&C game on the PS2, in terms of platforming and combat. I say this after playing the first one on my vita.

Remake or reboot but it look exactly the same as the old games with nothing new. even in a remake or series reboot you need to change stuff, not just doing the same. Insomniac need to bring ideas to this tired series and change their dated structure and frameworks that was the same since the third game in the series. the series need a change and a big one too.

a huge disappointment.

Don't know whether it's been mentioned or whether it means anything but the 8 minute gameplay has been uploaded in 60fps.

This isn't 1080p60fps is it?
