As someone who has not played the first Ratchet game, can anyone comment on the music?

There's some really nice orchestral stuff happening around 3:10 of the gameplay video and I'm curious whether that's all new, re-recorded, remastered, etc.

Thats' your choice, but I think it is silly to not buy games over 60 or 30 FPS, games play fine on 30 as long as it's a solid 30. Too each their own. But no need to project your thoughts for everyone.

I suspect the game would have been on track to release earlier this year. Insomnaic has stated throughout their "quiet period" a few times that development was going very smoothly. The game got delayed because the movie got Focus Studios (Universal owned) as a publisher and pushed it back to next year probably so it could get a proper marketing deal.

While you might have to wait a bit longer than expected, rest assured we’re using the time wisely to further polish the game to a spit-shine level, with dazzling shader response, awe-inspiring effects, velvety smooth animations, and spectacular new gameplay segments. Really, we can’t wait to show it to you.

I'd just like to pop into this thread again and reiterate how incredible this looks. This instantly became my most anticipated game, aside from maybe Zelda. If I could have this tomorrow, I'd take it over Batman, Uncharted, etc.

Ratchet is way more open and has a lot more going on, and looks better then GOW, and GOW is a remaster of a last gen game. If it was GOW4 you might have a point, but game development doesn't work that way, no 2 engines are the same. GOW looks good but come on.

I never loved the series, but enjoyed the first 2 PS3 games.

I just feel short changed when I see this running at 30fps. Gameplay is better and visuals are more pleasing at 60fps.

You can't blame them. They did their research and found 60fps doesn't make a game sell better.

Not defending the decision as I think 60fps should definitely be the target, but I can understand why they would abandon it.
