WOW, the game looks stunning! dont know why they would show this game before E3 but i love it. So close to CGI. Didn't know that Insomniac was capable of achieving so good looking games. I thought this was just a reboot of the first game but this is a completely new game, so hyped. It has jumped up on my most wanted list.

Absolutely. Look at all the games that were released in this style: Sunset Overdrive, Splatoon, 3D World,and Yoshi to name a few. Pixar like graphics takes a lot of computing power.
Just preordered to lock that price in in case it's a mistake.

Well the movie is a reboot of the original story, so the game has to follow the plot.
Unless they wanted to go Prince of Persia and have the game be nothing like the movie.
It'll be following some key points of the plot, but a lot of it is changed.
Edit: Oh you meant the game will follow the same plot of the movie? Actually I think the point still stands in either case. Insomniac mentioned that the game would follow the plot of the movie while expanding on some things. Something like that.

We don't have sales numbers for Sly4 though. It did chart on the NPD on the month it released so that's something I guess.

That 30 fps makes sense, it's gorgeous.
I guess if they wanted it 60fps, they could cut back on things like heavy lighting effects, shadow resolution, lessen particles/alphas, dial back on AA techniques....errr, on second thought, the game is swell as is, wow.
There is a great motion blur effect going, CG-ish.

This happens in so many threads in which a game turns out to be 30fps, but then you never hear about the game selling poorly due to people not buying it for not being 60fps. Point being, moaners gonna moan but in the end their complaints or lack of purchase won't have an impact.
The 30 fps in Sunset Overdrive was almost as good as the 30 fps in Forza Horizon 2, meaning it was a hell of a lot better than every other game, it felt so damn smooth. The motion blur in Sunset Overdrive is some of the best I have seen. With its release, I vowed to buy anything from Insomniac, it was just that good. I have never played this series, but the devs already won me over, the graphics being so fantastic is like a bonus.

Yeah, the potential for cartoons with more powerful hardware has always been there.
It's weird Hollywood gets it but the game industry doesn't (at least, not anymore).

Not my kinda game, but it sure looks pretty.
What if this game's graphics were merely average PS3-level or worse, but still played the same? A lot of people posting here impressed by the graphics might not want to bother because they wouldn't enjoy the visual presentation. Some people enjoy different aspects of games. Go figure.

Looks like the same game we've been getting almost yearly for the past 10-15 years. I expected more changes to the formula from this "reimagining", but it looks pretty at least.
