No, they were incredibly bored and couldn't bother reacting to anything. They just kept making incredibly unfunny/snarky comments at everything. Seriously annoying.

Well, if you're looking for enthusiasm about video games then Giant Bomb has been a bad idea for several years now. There are many good reasons to keep up with the content they're continuing to produce over there, but you'll need to come to terms with Jeff Gerstmann's chronic cynicism.

I said it in the other thread GT is the anti GB. They are just genuinely excited about games and just go nuts. Bosman and Huber are my faves though.

This makes me really miss the old 1up E3 days :(. Theres always the right amount of joy/hype as well as concern and cynicism. Giantbomb is just depressing to watch. Why would I want to watch a bunch of guys looking bored and shitting on everything in a medium that I love? Thats like only watching movies with people who always just points out flaws in movies and tells everyone how bad it is and how much they hate it. I don't need GT level reactions but some joy every now and then would be nice.

This is just laughable. Jeff wasn't cynical at all for example in the SFV video they put up.

Yeah, I agree. 1Up had just the right mix. You can still get some of that flavor on the 8-4 Play podcast but nothing will ever beat the original 1Up Yours crew.

It was really great to see this live with the crew. You could really see the hype train hit Huber full stop - especially if you multi-streamed, had the Sony conference going on a few seconds faster than the GT stream, hear the music, expectantly look at Huber, and then -

- Pure joy!

Love the GT Crew! It's been a blast watching the conferences with them so far this morning and hoping to see more from them over the course of the week.
