Had no idea Lance Reddick was in this. And Fillion in Halo 5? All Microsoft has to do is announce Carl Weathers: Stage Fighting Workshop Simulator and they've won the generation.

The more moments like this that the game has the better. Even the puddle at his feet changes to reflect the differences.

Little known fact. Remedy couldn't refine the engine enough to eliminate pop in, so they turned into a game mechanic.

Is there a high quality version of the video out yet? I need a high quality version of this gif.

Remedy are legit technical wizards to get this kind of performance out of the Xbone hardware. Its gorgeous.
Hate to ask this again but are we sure thats running on an Xbox One? It does look fantastic, but cleaner and sharper than I would have expected. Maybe direct feed footage at full size on my TV would show the small imperfections I'd expect.

So I just followed comments today because I was at work, now I was watching several videos of the MS conference and I found that most things are lame or uninteresting to me. I didn't saw Quantum Break until now because I had the thought of the last gameplay video and I remember that it was very "Infamous-ish" and didn't like it that much, so I finally saw the video just now...

Damn... this has goty material print it all over it, it might force me to buy an Xbox One.

I've held off on a lot of day one purchases since last year due to too frequent disappointment, but I'm keeping my damn preorder for Quantum Break. This game is my most anticipated title.

Wow i love the time skipping stuff, the time battles/powers look abit too overpowered but i have a feeling it will be much more limited in the full game.

But the timelapse stuff is awesome and a really cool way to showoff cutscenes. Alan wake was fantastic so i cant wait to hear more about them.

That looks so damn fun. I'm really into gameplay like that and I think they're doing wonders with the effects. Loving it. Hopefully I'll have an XB1 by the time it comes out.

What's even cooler is that the majority of that wasn't even a cutscene. You can see the player rotating the camera. Very impressive stuff. Quantum Break is doing stuff in real-time that I have never seen in a game, with all the effects and such happening simultaneously.

My most anticipated game of the generation. Looks phenomenal. Honestly if the entire game was like the last 25% of the trailer (exposition, exploration, and mystery) I would be a very happy gamer.

BTW, I don't think they have changed the protagonist. They said that the story of QB will be told from different perspectives, so maybe the dude from today is one of them.

My mind was blown by the second part of the battle segment.

This game instantly became my most wanted after this presentation.

Good job MS in scoring this title.

I thought alan wake was a marvelous job uaing the 360s hardware. Did you think they did good on that one as well or nah?
Never played it as the premise never called to me, but love their previous stuff so I've been hopeful for this. The TV Show aspect throws all kinds of red flags, but I'm game to see what they do with it.

The reveal footage looked optimistic to me, so its good to see how this is coming along.

Welp. I've totally lost interest in this game after that gameplay footage. It's everything I feared it to be. There seems to be no real depth to the time mechanics. It gets old after a minute. And the effects are WAYYY overdone that it's distracting and hard to watch, let alone play. Technically, it looks fantastic though

Edit: Holy shit I guess I'm in quite the minority here.

I remember Alan Wake being sub-HD by a pretty huge margin (like 960x540 or something, right?), with pretty bad screen-tearing to boot. I've always loved Remedy, but never thought of them as one of the more technically-proficient studios. But that just makes Quantum Break all the more impressive.

He looks like that guy from the Sci Fi show Killjoys and The Following. Wait... they are identical brothers! I thought it was the same guy...

What about the gunplay didn't look engaging?

It looked solid, tight, nicely paced, offered a number of options to stop it from becoming monotonous. It seemed a huge step up from their previous games gunplay.

Dare I say it looked better than the gunplay in the Max Payne games.

It's the sheer number of time effects going on making danger non-existent. We can't even see the moment to moment gunplay because it's ability after ability. In MP you actually had to make some intelligent moves in combat to survive and be able to aim to boot. Here you can freeze a group of enemies and have an absurd amount of time to dispatch them. Not to say it needs to be twitchy, just needs to have some sort of danger. Can't see any, even with the soldiers with time equipment.

There's something weird about the color palette with this game. It's very soft and muted... lacking in any sort of vibrancy - which makes the visuals kind of boring to be honest.

I loved Alan Wake but this just isn't sticking out to me. I'll still keep an eye on it for sure since Remedy is masterclass.

I may be missing something, but at no point during the demo I thought "goddamn, this looks AMAZING". I mean, it does look great, but in no way close to what Naughty Dog and Guerrilla showed with both Uncharted 4 and Horizon.

I think Rise of the Tomb Raider looks better than this, tbh.

I don't know why but I've been super skeptical about this game. It seems like its missing something. I keep feeling like it's going to be Infamous:SS. Fun to play and a decent game but overall just a one and done, beat and move on type of game.

But this showing of it was really good. I still don't know how I feel about the gameplay but the world and story of it all seems super interesting. I hope they really knock it out of the ball park in that department. It seems like the story is going to be what saves or kills. I can't wait for it to come out and to see what they put together. Looks like a great new IP.

There were three people that were caught in the incident that gave them time powers. Jack Joyce and Beth Wilder (played by Courtney Hope) are the protagonists, and Paul Serene is the antagonist.

He pretty much murders them, when he appears to have the power to easily bypass them without harming anyone.

If the character is a murdering asshole, that makes sense. If not...

Easily the best looking next-gen game, so far. By leaps and bounds.

Certainly not. But it looks fantastic. Interestingly, the only thing that is bothering me (I will probably be proven wrong) is the constant use of those time manipulation mechanics. It got a little cumbersome, visually, and quite annoying after a while...
