I know. But I don't think anyone's listening. It's odd, and a bit depressing, that something light-hearted & fun, intended to evoke a sense of freedom, wonder & joy, is unable to resonate on its own terms, but needs to be transmuted into a thousand adulterations in order to land!

I think the best I can express it is this: All the fun and hilarity we are enjoying in this thread was generously handed to us on a plate, yet somehow we would rather believe that we are the clever or creative ones.

I hate seeing generosity so abused! I think all the photoshops are wonderful and I salute the creators for their imagination and technical skills. But show some goddamned respect.
