Haha damn dude you are going hard!! Your posts along with the gameplay vids I've watched took this game from barely on my radar to a day one buy in a 24 hour span.

I'm getting the impression that this could be a surprise sleeper hit, but maybe we're getting too small a sample in this thread.

At the very least, it looks like it will be divisive, rather than universally panned. And that's already kind of exciting.

I really want this game day 1, but there isn't any deal around yet.

It will be very difficult for me, not to spoil it by watching some LP the day this game releases.

Would be better as "I know what you played last summer", but either way I vote this.

EDIT: NVM, thinking about it my suggestion is worse.

Both "The Road Not Taken" and "I Know What You'll Play This Summer" are so good that I don't care which of those two wins.

OK, I know that we only have a few people who have played beaten/it, but I just can't shake the feeling that this is going to surprise a lot of people.

Are we witnessing the start of something special?

And yes, I most certainly am getting ahead of myself. Can't wait to play this. Right after my mother in law leaves. She is staying until WED....until dawn.

Depending on your relationship with said mother in law, you might want to start while she's there?

It could be that i'm projecting my own feeling towards my mother in law though.

Wow all these positive impressions had me hyped!

I'm actually thinking of just going ahead and pre-ordering this. In our country we actually get the Steel Book plus free movie tickets with the game if we pre-order this, which is actually pretty cool I guess.

I like my mother in law, and she's cool about my obsession with video games. She's even asked pointed questions about them before. My late father in law bought a 360 when he was 75, and gamed hard. We would always talk about games when they visited.

I may even show her the game to exemplify how Hollywood actors are getting in on the gig.

And then someone in the game will get stabbed in the face and I'll rush to turn it off.

Damn all those ultra positive impressions! Didn't expect it.

Really hoping for this game to review well and be a big success, there are lots of games in this genre today after Heavy Rain's success, but not enough AAA, most games in this genre today miss the production values that should benefit them tremendously, great presentation is ultra important to these games and Until Dawn looks beautiful, really happy to hear it has a good writing and story and that it seems to be surprisingly good.

Well sadly he wasnt entirely free in choosing Beyond, as Sony wanted a "sequel" out asap for PS3. Definitely a wrong decision to make for that studio. I rather have him do whatever he wants with a 5 year dev plan, so he can come up with something unique and crazy again. Hopefully for PS4.
