The Japanese industry have been appealing to the female and gay libido way before Hot Ryu, as any Final Fantasy fan can collaborate.

It's okay, I guess.

I can't recall any characters that aren't baby-faced or twinks tho. I think that's what sets this costume apart, no baby face.

Looking at him makes me want to go to the gym more just so I can get that bod. The beard I can grow in a couple days, but developing that physique is going to take a while.

I wish someone looked at me like they do that Ryu T_T
One day you too can be a hot daddy.

To be honest, as a gay male, I don't really find any of the Final Fantasy characters attractive. They just don't do it for me (and I'm a big fan of the series). Actually, I take that back, I did find Snow to be okay-looking (just looks, not personality or anything like that). Nathan Drake and Dad Ryu are much better, though.

I don't think there's any way at all you could possibly stretch to be the most significant even in videogame history. I don't know where that idea could have possibly come from.

I do like and will probably play this version of Ryu more than the default though.

"Daddy" is such a creepy term for a hot dude.

Creepy as fuck like.

Eh, it's kinda common in Mexico to call hot dudes "Papacito" and Hot girls "Mamacita" which roughly translates to "Daddy" and "Momma". Then again, in mexico we throw the words dad and mom and dozens of variants liberally for a lot of things.

And people arguing he's been shirtless before, come on, look at him, it's obvious this one was done for the sex appeal, you can feel it even if it's not your thing, while the SSF4 was more of a "look how badass he looks!" design.

How do you feel about FFXV's Gladio, though?

Interesting. As a woman I don't find either Drake or Ryu attractive, but Balthier from FFXII on the other hand...

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.

Eh, no. They invented bara for a reason.

The design and aesthetic of males in FF were always more for female appeal.

He looks more way attractive with the beard. Some people just need beards I say. And no shirt. That being said calling him dad/ daddy/ whatever in a sexual manner just creeps me out and ruins it, but that is a personal problem.

Can someone explain to me why this is seen as perfectly fine to have a sexualized Ryu and every praises Capcom but last week when R. Mika was revealed and her outfit is sexualized everyone was shaking their heads and saying shame on Capcom and that it's just fan service to horny teenage boys?

Either both are fine, or neither are fine.
This is Neogaf, you already know why

I don't see what the problem is. Girls get bearded Ryu cosplays eventually and we're going to get R. Mika cosplays!

I patiently await!

lol. The hyperbole of this thread title.

You mean another shirtless muscle dude with a chiseled model's face, only this time with a full beard? lol. These threads are getting adorable.

SWMs are the most easily offended group of all.

Nah, White teenage girls of any sexual orientation are the most easily offended group of all, they'll even be offended in your name [Assuming you're of any miniority] for anything, even cartoons. Trust me.

Not really a big fan of his hair. Otherwise... maybe. I find Cor more attractive.

I like Balthier as a character and he's an incredibly charming one at that, but as far as looks goes... meh. Not bad, but I think I'm just into a different type of guy.

A shirtless dude in karate pants is standard fare for fighting game males.

I see no significance in this design whatsoever. This is not the same thing as the Chris sailor outfit from RE revelations.

As a gay man myself I agree with you. I dont really find those two attractive. Balthier is really nice looking tho. Other than him tho their arent that many FF guys i'd consider hot.

So, this thread inspired me to ask actual girls if they found dad Ryu to be attractive. They did not.

I think this is aimed towards what men consider attractive; what we wish to look like.

Me thinks this is not necessarily for the ladies but for others who find daddy Ryu hot.

Do you really feel like you are bringing up a valid criticism for double standards? After years and years of women being subjugated to the bullshit they've been subjugated to in media?

You post is equal to meninist saying that if women want equal rights than i should be able to hit them like i hit any other man. Why does it bother you that women are induldging in what men have been induldging in(guilt free) for all of human history?

I'm sorry, but i find ur post useless.

body hair DLC?

They could call it BeaRyu skin. And when he wins he could pull down the front of his gi pants and show off the V he has going on.

Hilarious how some are in denial. They purposely made Ryu more attractive just like they have done with the women characters.

I generally avoid microtransactions, but if publishers started doing that I'd become the most repulsive subspecies of whale.

Yes, Cor is superior in every way. So disappointed he isn't a permanent member.

Cor not being one of the main party members is one of the most disappointing things about XV, after Regis losing his infinitely superior original design. I hope he doesn't die too early into the game.

I'm amazed they managed to make the beard look as fake as the ingame model...

The most significant event? Nah. :p

I mean, all DoA guys received swimsuits as DLC, all Virtua Fighter guys had alternate costumes that were just shorts (or a tiny speedo that even hinted a bit of "buttcrack" like Brad -which was my main, just wearing that and a beard-).

Heck, it should've been his default look. Same way Ken's default was changed.

Found my old pic from Brad in Google! :p

The Ken doll has more of a bulge than he does.
