Forza Motorsport 6 has "wet weather, 3D puddles and night races" + more

i'm going to assume sarcasm. in which case, how did general praise of a livery add anything meaningful the thread either? lol

someone agrees with the bonnet view being disorientating though, so at least i know i'm no longer alone.

I agree too. Been an issue for me since PGR, and I've never really adjusted to it. I kinda find the effect mildly fascinating though (I'm weird like that), and so still use that view primarily.

Reviewed rather nicely, seems like the franchise is both secure and it's focus is still appealing enough to not need a rehaul.

Fingers crossed this gen will be the last we see of static weather and TOD and the next Xbox can easily cope with the demands of a native resolution, 60fps and all the visuals we really should be demanding.

One can hope :)

Even though Shortt Sirket is probably having an aneurism right now I can't stop laughing every time this happens.

I thought it was a very clever and subtle entrance exam, and was surprised when Shorty kept giving out the answer.

Me too!

After he tears out his hair, Shortt can ask a mod to change his name to Shortt Andd Baldd Sirket.

You people are killing me here! lol

You've obviously not played with GAF online... ;)

What the fuck are you trying to say?

Yes please
GT: No 0nions

edit - nvm, added myself to list

OOh...so close....

Can I get something off my chest...?

The same game you introduce female drivers,
avermediacenter2015-0ios4o.png

you also bring back grid girls?
For me, personally these ideas contradict each other.
I don't need an any "but that's just how it is in real life!"-reactions to my comment and no, I'm not one of "those" people who don't like Bayonetta's design. I just think grid girls don't add anything to Forza. Flag-girls in Need For Speed are ok, because it adds to the "dumb"-flavor of tuner culture.

But that's how it is in real life.

They have grid girls in F1, ffs - probably the most serious, most respected discipline in motorsport.

I never even noticed them. I don't think you can compare something as forward facing as the choice of a male or female character with some background polygons.

From this year's F1 monaco grand prix:

Which was of course followed by some terrible comments by Vettel, who was missing the girl's butts, as he said. Oh well.

You know what? I give you that, IF Forza had a career mode where you race in a racing league for points over a whole season and they'd show after race ceremony and everything around it, I'd even say that the grid-girls would add to the experience.

Yeah, I don't see how "it's like that in real life" can be dismissed. They added female drivers which exist in real life, so why not bring over another detail that also exists?

Uggghhh......sorry, but I hate this argument.

I race cycles, and it rears it's head there every now and then......along with the argument of why prize money for women is always less than the men, wonder if you get lower payouts if you select a female driver :-O

Are you serious? For fuckin racing? Have we forgotten about Michele Mouton? One of the the best female drivers of all time and one of the best rally drivers? Literally the only reason she didn't win the World Rally Championship was because her Audi broke.

There's no need for that, Shorty.

I was saying, in the cycle races I do, men's prize money is normally more than the equivalent prizes for women.

So, it was a joke / tongue in cheek post based on that.

Wut.... Grid girls are a staple of any organised race event or grid guys! It adds to the atmosphere to the game and to be honest is as much of a staple as the engineers when it comes to a racing event.

Wait.. bring back? Which Forza had them previously (I assume we're not talking about Horizon here)?

I thought they were in 3, but I don't really remember and my 360 broke down and never was replaced by the time 4 came out [I want that backwards compatibility to finally play this!].
Horizon feels like girls belong there just like in a F&F movie.

I don't know, I'm not bothered by it, it just feels weird to put them in right at the time you make a step to cater to female players... as if people were complaining that there weren't any grid girls in FM5 and Turn 10's put them on their improvement-list without considering overall marketing strategy and steps of their game.

Not watching any videos. Doing well so far. I want 6 to be very fresh. Wish I hadn't seen the "dust" .gif.

Would have been a neat surprise.
