Try the same event in the 512BB, the V12 sounds so smooth.
I've already said it earlier but this game is the new benchmark for car sounds.

At least in mitigation of the having to come 3rd thing - in freeplay you can set up a series of events that use the same playlist as the career events. So then choose a higher difficulty and not worry about placing.

I really like the showcases, just done the pre-war grand prix cars at Spa. Seems madness that Turn10 hasn't allowed us to take that set of cars to any track, only a single event.
There doesn't seem to be anything like the league completion/bonus races where you can finish a career event then go back and do any race to improve your position.

All off. Though with one or two cars I may switch on an assist depending. I am not a huge fan of the braking in this version and have loads of problems with it in some cars that I didn't prior.

I only keep ABS on, and go manual w/o clutch. Will use the line (to help get me up to speed with the new tracks) and keep rewind enabled until I get my Forza legs back - but I'll turn both off as soon as I feel comfortable with the handling model again.
Whether I go for realistic or cosmetic damage will depend upon how tame or crazy the Drivatars are at my difficulty level. But as I race almost exclusively vs AI I'll probably keep it cosmetic only.
Or does the damage setting apply to AI as well? Will they damage themselves and pit if needed?

When I was reviewing it they could get damaged. I should know I put a couple in a wall the first time I jumped up a class without assists on lol. I am not sure how messed up they do get though. But they do slow down.

If I run Auto, but don't want to lose too much power on cornering is it best to STM on only?

It's been like that as long as I can remember. Even in Forza 1 when I was younger and would smash into other cars, you'd end up with a few AI cars billowing smoke and limping around the track.

I'll give sim damage a try then. As long as its fair it seems like a nice way to add some more risk and motivate me to keep the driving clean.
Is somebody putting up an OT soon? Or do the GAF rules dictate that it go up on the 14th?
I'm debating getting an Elite Controller so I can use the paddles on the back to shift. Even though I'm a stick guy in real life, using the right stick to shift has never felt right to me.

Yes, ultimate edition ($100 in NA stores) unlocks right now. Its a 44 gig install/download.
Buying cars is still clumsy and unwieldy, instead of left/right scroll its now up/down. Sort is only by manufacturer/class/year, they took out value from FH2. You can toggle affordable/not owned still. Still, it would take forever to buy all the free cars. I wonder if one day the website or app would let you buy cars.
You can get up to 5m per previous forza games I think, as long as you had over 300 cars in each. That was easy in FH2 (buy 300 copies of the same $3-5k car), but much harder in the rest. I got up to 200 cars in F5 but couldn't make to 300.
That probably is his rewards.
I tried buying a bunch of cars in Forza 5 last night. It was so slow I gave up. Still have 21+ Million despite all the buying....gonna leave so much money sitting in that game as I move on.

Free Ford GT is in your message center under gifts and not the massive free car list.
Strangely, the gift one does not unlock the achievement for owning the 2017 GT. I had to buy a second GT because I am an achievement hooker.
I feel like my game is missing a number of bonus cars, however. The are several F&F cars I haven't seen. For example, I have a Hellcat Challenger but no Hellcat Charger even in my game, and I thought I saw that car on the list.

Notice how there's no name of game above my gamertag.
The weird thing is that if I go to "View game hub", it shows the proper FM6 hub and if I look at the notifications, they show the FM6 graphic as well...
