or maybe some random scene that plays after disposing of x nukes

I get it.
We played MGSV, but there was a whole other game, the phantom one, that was cut to protect this one.

In Outer Heaven, men become demons.

Demon
"One who is extremely zealous, skillful, or diligent"

Venom is a demon at saving animals from war zones.

Kojima does it again!

I just had someone at Motherbase tell me "Boss, whoever you are, I'll still follow you."

They know!?

I had this earlier. There's absolutely no reason, from any point of the narrative, for them to know. The truth takes place way after the rest of the narrative meaning Venom doesn't even know.

New cut content every day. They must have had a really tough time during development. I guess a combination of building the FOX engine plus making their first open world game. I get that Konami had had enough and wanted the game released after so many years of development, but actually seeing bits and pieces of the unfinished portion of the game is really depressing.

"In Outer Heaven, some men become a little angry and bitter. Others are kinda cool. The rest are pretty nice guys."

"Meanwhile the real demon is off somewhere building another Outer Heaven"

Are we supposed to assume that in the MG1-era the world has no more nukes, except OH? If so, you could spin OH as being a deterrent against anyone who would want to create nukes again.

I was reading back a few pages and the E3 2013 trailer really is one of the best ever made. 'Punished Snake - A Fallen Legend', "Kaz, I'm already a demon", choking Chico - it all really was set for Snake's descent into MG1-era villainy.

I remember early in development Kojima hinting at the episodic nature of the game and people speculated that this would extend to release schedule as well. ie Episode 1 - Camp Omega. 6 months later, Episode 2 - Afghanistan etc. Still wouldn't have bought him enough time I think.
(the polygon link doesn't mention episodic release, but I'm pretty sure he tweeted wrt that)

I got it too after I finished the game, freaked me out. I assume this is someone unaware of the legend of Big Boss.

Nope.

Miller and Ocelot are the leaders. They make the decisions. 'Big Boss' is simply one of their weapon systems that gets to make its own choice here and there.

Letting Huey go seems like a pretty big choice, though. You knew Kaz really wanted to kill him. Same goes to Big Boss bringing in Quiet, even when Ocelot didn't mind as much. They felt like the caretakers of Mother Boss to me, but I wouldn't say they were leaders while you were a simple weapon system.

I mean, letting a guy go who killed a bunch of your soldiers through a virus isn't just "a small choice" any leader would agree with.

Remember the whole fuss about the wolbachia making people sterile? Did that ever go anywhere?

Also, this ending explains how BB and Miller can go back to work for Foxhound, they saved the world. We just don't know how it unfolds exactly, possibly something like nuclear weapons were going to be fired from X countries so they had to disable all nukes to save the world.

Always thought since way back that they would have to do something really heroic in MGSV to justify going back to Foxhound.

It's kind of weird how Miller and Real Big Boss end up working together in FOXHOUND even after Miller told him he wanted him dead.

Must have been an awkward work environment.

I mean, yes..they are all sterile now, soldiers have a conversation about it on motherbase occasionally.

well miller only shows up after "Big Boss" dies in Metal Gear, along with Campbell, so who even knows at this point.

"Men become demons"

That scene it literally the opposite of going nuclear.

You wouldn't believe how far Diamond Dogs were going to take things. A guy who data mined the PC version uncovered other cut content that includes a Relaxation platform of Mother Base where Diamond Dogs have cuddle parties (a cut cassette tape reveals that Code Talker tried to convince Miller to schedule a secret party that only Code Talker and Quiet are invited to) and another secret door on the medical platform where a cute toddler rescued from the battlefield kisses injured soldier's boo-boos. I'm talking heavy stuff, beyond nuclear.
