Guys, I have 126 marks.

Should I get the Y2 Saint-14 or are my marks better spent on something else?

or should I wait for Xur?

Just played with two of the dumbest people I've ever run into in matchmaking, attempting the Broken Saber strike for the first.

"one person carry, two people cover" was too much for them to handle in the hallway. I bailed after a dozen or so attempts carrying the relic when they just stood there not covering the shanks. :\

Group #2: same thing, same spot. I'll try again tomorrow.

NF was cake a 280 light, great runs Math!

Up to 290 now with my Hunter, decided to check out my titan. I ran the quest to get the Sunbreaker, turned in my bounties and focused light. Moved stuff over from my hunter (had a Darkblade helm for my Titan too) and was instantly at level light level 257. The legendary cloak they give you can be infused with blue engrams from my hunter to bring it above 280. Edged three factions and landed three weapons, if it were armor I'd be even higher without even lifting a finger.

It's a nice system because I put 25 hours into my hunter to get to 290 and would not have been fun to have to put in 25 more for each character.

I´m missing Xur =( Going away all weekend on a conference which will be super fun. But no raiding or playing Destiny at all. Not like I feel I am in a rush but still. I want to play all weekend!

Big day today, am probably more hyped than Tuesday

10am - Xur
11am-5.30pm - Grinding to get my light from 283-290+
5.30-5.59pm - Eat
6pm - Raid

I've got a shitload of quests to do but is my best chance just grinding out strikes?

Edit I probably made a mistake yesterday and bought the DO helmet but it has pretty sweet perks (super for non guardian kills and health regen on orb pick up) and I couldn't get one to drop past 255 light so needed the light jump

No point in saving them. Thet drop often enough that by the time you're 40 and this matters a bit you'll have gotten a billion of em :p

In general, you want to keep equipping the best gear you have at any given moment. Decrypt often, wear the highest light, and the average light of future drops starts increasing.

Sweet, ran the first SABER strike with Adam also, up to 227 light now. So much fun, wish I had more time to play. Thanks again Adam, goodnight DGAF and will most likely see you in OT31 :)

I'm stuck. I don't know what else to do that doesn't 1) require a fireteam and/or getting lucky with passerbys or b) isn't relatively unrewarding like doing heroic strikes or patrols.

So, Paradox.

That was probably the best single player experience I've had in Destiny so far. Because I'd seen it spoken of as being very difficult, I went in prepared: as my old standby, the stealth build Bladedancer (for the first time since Taken King came out). I ran the entire level as a stealth mission, sneaking, stabbing and sniping. Get backed into a corner, cloak, and re-position, then snipe the heavy from behind.

Very intense, fun run. A few close calls, but no deaths (not even on the giant leap I usually screw up when running the Vault). The fight at the end was a pure exercise in hunting, 10 minutes through the
maze after the boss. The light mechanics and constant re-positioning kept me on the edge of my seat, er bean bag.
Combined with the intrigue of the story, it was just a brilliantly designed mission.

I'm saving a video of it (tossing it up on Youtube) for posterity. It will be one of those missions I remember for years.

Pushed from 258 light to 282 tonight! Also found a splendid engram or whatever they call it. Some crazy gas mask looking Titan helm.

I played close to 800 hours of year 1 Destiny and THIS game is now how it always felt in my head. It's so good right now

How much should the total game size for Destiny be? Mine is the Legendary edition physical, and it shows as 34.4gb on Xbox One total which is surprisingly low for the base game and what is supposed to be 3 expansions no? By comparison, Master Chief Collection is a whopping 62.7gb and Gears Ultimate is 44.6 gb. Did the expansions download? It says installed for me.

Also, do you know why people keep leaving the first earth strike? Why do I keep being paired with level 37, level 39 who just bail?
