This game really needs a true sequel!
Nice game, finished it recently and everything from melee, gunplay and driving was good. It ended quite suddenly but it was left at the good point. I would have liked that relationships and home decoration were more meaningfull but thats just minor complains.
Also this is one of those games that makes you realize hoy boring english cursing can be, "fuck" "fuck" "fuck" "motherfucker", pls use something different, at least we had some chinese cursing.
No, just a can of DragonKick
Why don't you have a pork bun in your hands? A man who never eats pork bun is NEVER a whole man!
(I love this game.)
Really enjoyed this game for the first 15 or so hours. Then it fell into Watch Dogs/Far Cry 4 territory where I GOT SO DAMN SICK OF THE GAME.
Yeah, I agree! The dating part could have been more fleshed out. I remember taking photos of Amy and thinking, "so do I get to keep her as my waifu till the end of the game?" But just like that, she was gone. I thought I did something wrong because I called Amy and Tiffany around the same time. Lol
Agreed. I beat it on 360 when it came out and then just a couple of months ago I beat the Definitive Edition. One of my favorite games from last gen for sure.
Also the story was pretty powerful.RIP Jackie
How... how do I not remember this. Also this game had a side mission where I had to sing Take On Me as bad as possible in order to help a dude in a club prove that tough guys sing badly.

Amy was just playing around herself according to the police file.

Game was bogged down with open-world syndrome. If it wasn't for that, Wei Shen and the story is actually the highlight of the game; far more enjoyable than GTA or Batman Arkham series.
I wish the game had a compact chapter based scenario considering their scope and budget. HK is a wasted backdrop for such a unique setting and I live here. Shenmue was the only game that actually did it justice because of its intimate moments with the environment and not just X-open world side-quest collectathon formula.

That's exactly what made it so good. It knows what it is and doesn't try to become something its not. It keeps the drama simple and the pacing fast, and doesn't try to overreach with the story it's trying to tell. Keeps the length and subject matter simple, well paced, and focused on the core story. If something like GTA V is stronger example of something more like a seasonal drama, almost a buddy crime-comedy sitcom, then Sleeping Dogs is one of the better examples of movie pacing and focus I think.Same. I always felt that it would make for an good mini series. People always called it cliche and yeh it had a lot of what you would expect from an undercover cop drama — but that's exactly what made it enjoyable.
