First of all 400k gap in the U.S. is a steam roll.
A guy just posted recent numbers for this year in the last page showing sales in the UK THIS year were close.
Also all PR lst year for Xbox One combined UK and U.S., we never got November UK numbers, and I believe that the thread for that month speculated the same thing. But that was long ago.

Because XB1 price was the same of the PS4.
In 2014, XB1 got a temporaney pricedrop US only.
If this temporaney pricedrop was For the UK too, XB1 would massacred PS4 in UK, Like is happened in the US last year.
This time, UK-US situation is the same.
Also, XB1 outsold PS4 last November. By a small margin, but still won.

The Xbox outsold the ps4 in the uk last year by a small margin--not a steamroll-- but lost nov+dec.

They combined their figures but we had sales numbers showing they won in November. It was just really close. But this is a dumb tangent. The point is XB1 outsold the PS4 in the UK in November. MS PR has nothing to do with this fact.

I feel like TR was treated like the COD and Sunset Bundles were treated last year, little advertisement, expensive compared to the other bundles (COD), and now much prominence in sales papers which a lot of families still read when their WP comes to their door.
Only differences there's PLENTY of stock. But I guess once the clearance prices come in I'll be grabbing one or two. Kind to think of it, they treated TR more like Dragon Age I, just that didin't have a bundle.

Context is everything. Ps4 may have been outsold by 400k last year in November in the US but it had widened the gap by a more significant number than that in the previous ten months. This year the PS4 has built the gap in the US back to about where it was before last November and will likely sell more in November, December, and the foreseeable future. WW Sony is working on lapping the X1. Which is why we won't be getting anymore boastful hardware numbers from MS anymore and instead we'll get how many bullets were fired by how many live members on a Thursday in December now.

Do you guys think the Black Friday sales of XB1+PS4 will grow at a similar rate as UK (~14%) this year? I feel like it is likely to be less for Black Friday specifically but significantly more for the whole month of November thanks to the release of big AAA games with bundles in the weeks before BF.

Regarding Black Friday, best takeaways I'm getting to after 3 days looking at it is that purchasing shifted to Thursday night and to online. Total thurs-fri spend seems a bit flat-ish to last year in total, but b&m down a bit, online up a bit, thurs up a chunk, Friday down a chunk. Lots of people opened Thursday night but the pie didn't see to get much bigger. More share shifting than anything. Could be wrong.
