I constantly see people calling for Bison nerfs or saying he's god tier or whatever but nobody ever backs it up with reasoning. I had someone telling me that scissors was safe AND an overhead yesterday...

I'm not calling Bison op or anything. What do I know? He has good buttons, more moves are + on block than most characters which gives him great frametraps for his st.hk (+3 on block!). High damage output off of those and in general and he has maybe the best V-Trigger in the game. We'll see.

I'd argue Karin is god tier compared to Bison. Or maybe it's just me. But a Karin player that knows what they're doing with thrash me every time and I don't know how to deal with it.

Never know when to go in for the kill, and he combos are pretty lengthy, relative to the other characters I feel. I play as Cammy, for reference.

I'm by no means a pro at the game, and I don't all fancy the SF lingo, but I was amazed at how strong Bison was when I played against him. The power of each attack was crazy and his moves seemed to take priority over nearly everything I did. I definitely think he'll get nerfed.

One of us here at work is maining Karin, and as Laura I'm still at lost as to how to approach him. If I try to dash in I get tagged by her insane cr.MK, if I play the fireball game I get punished by her hop, if I jump I take one of her multiple anti-airs to the face, and if I try to play footsies her st.MK and cr.MK destroy me.
It's a bit disheartening at the moment. ^^

I got the trophy for level 200 yesterday, but it did only show up in my trophy list today, weird. What's even weirder is that it's ultra rare with 0.6%...

makes sense cuz most guys playing online are pretty low level. not many bothered playing through the SP modes.

Pretty much nailed all the problems I've having at the moment. She seems to have an answer to any approach I make. It's a tough one, but I guess we need to learn the match up better :'(

Did anyone get to answer this? I went to bed after my last post last night, and wasn't feeling up to reading a lot of pages since this thread moves so quickly.

If no one has tried to do a beginner's quick break down for Nash I can do it similar to my Ken post last night.

Note: It won't be till later today as. A) Work. B) I have not messed with Nash a lot...I get bodied by him often though lol.

I play Karin and have trouble against Laura. Her MK is good but not that good. Try going for a Crush Counter when you are within Karin's MK range. The Karin will probably go for it and your Heavy CC will beat out her MK.

Are Japanese devs morally against punishing ragequitters? I've read interviews in the past where Japanese devs were only concerned that people with bad connections would be unfairly punished.

I thought there was something about blacklisting players on CFN so you never play them.

Wouldn't mind having them spend more than 10 mins finding a match (a step up from waiting 5 mins at least with these servers, etc etc)

Can Chun do instant-air legs or do you have to jump first and then do the qcf motion? I've been messing around and can't get timing right for anything but jump then qcf.

I've not seen it, but I've not even pressed on the CFN option. Might be ina future update if it's not there now though.

Nah they won't do it right now, since you should also get warnings and stuff like that. But since all those replays are stored and they gather a lot of match information, they could probably do it at some point. Just a useful tool.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's only jump+qcf+lk. That's the only thing that works for me. You can combo it with mp+mk, d+mk, qcf+lk, for extra pizazz =P

Man, sales GAF and early buyers really are putting a damper on the hype, every day another negative thread, I hope this game rises above the ashes of all the flack. Looks like it had a timid launch, but we'll see if digital is higher than usual.

Is it me are are the hitboxes on some of Karin's attacks massive, like, with Cammy I pass through body parts with no hit yet vs Karin there is a visible gap between her body art and me and I get hit.

Grapplers can be a real pain to deal with if you're not prepared. You have to fight them completely differently to every other character, focusing on long-range attacks and stopping yourself from being aggressive, otherwise you just leave yourself open to grabs.

The matchup is actually great for her. She has the buttons to keep him out from pretty much all angles he can come at.

What are you struggling with from him?

Okay, I have played every SF game but do not own SF5 yet, and I'm strictly an average player at best, HOWEVER, I have to ask: what's so bad about this clip? It just looks like a Ryu lost to a better player? Sure the Ken taunts a bit, is that what has everyone so upset? I'm just not seeing what is so nasty about that video? o_O

I haven't played a skilled grappler yet, but it sounds like a bad matchup against my main: the agressive Cammy.
