I really want to see how this looks in motion.

Here's the new official wheel

Obviously Thrustmaster, and i'm not sure about it's name. But from looking at it I think it's safe to say that it's not going to be cheap.

From the Eurogamer preview titled 'Don't expect to be blown away by the new Gran Turismo on PS4'

After a fairly long wait, we've finally got a chance to play Gran Turismo on PlayStation 4 - and it's more than a little underwhelming. Kazunori Yamauchi has said GT Sport offers a level of innovation not seen since the first Gran Turismo. Having played it for 30 minutes before today's big reveal conference, I'm not entirely sold.

Gran Turismo Sport, however, looks, sounds and plays just like Gran Turismo 6 on the Playstation 3

Even more disheartening, it's hard to hear the difference. I tried some of the noisier cars available in the current build, and the GT3 458 Ferrari droned rather than screamed, the Corvette whined rather than rumbling the earth as it does in real life.

He's positive about the handling (it's GT, after all), but come on, the sound thing is ridiculous.

What? Driveclub looks better than this thing.

lol...wait until the game comes out man, this is a photo mode shot with lighting/camera angles, etc....You’ll be able to take similar shots in GTS.

And it’s not a fair comparison yet.

That is DC after many updates and patches, and it’s 60fps vs. 30fps

They need to fix the sound ffs.

Please Sony, send them help.

Don't bring that dumb shit here. I've had plenty of complaints about Forza and plenty of compliments for GT. I wouldn't be so nitpicky on it if I just didn't care about the series.

I'm not sure my post was dumb shit, when this is how the reactions to the sense of speed went:

like the sense of speeeeeeeeeeeeed

Yes. It feels good! Hilarious crash at 0:20 though.

Sense of speed is on point. Won't comment on the off track handling and collision physics...

Yep! Sense of speed is great.

Sense of speed is good here. On the other hand collision physics...

Still seems to have that crappy sense of speed. Judging from the AI going past the player is in an LMP car but it looks like footage of someone thrashing a hatchback around the track.

However, I'm not one to not apologize if it's just because you're dedicated for the GT franchise.

My enjoyment of this will largely depend on event/race options. A custom event creator or events that are somewhat realistic would go a long way. Meaningful tire degradation and pitstops, etc. as well.

I'm hoping with the motorsport focus will get these a higher priority than they have been given in the past.

I will say this, though - both the visuals and sound are irrelevant to me in comparison to what they do with the actual autosport part of the game. As that's in the title, I expect this to be a big focus.

They need:
-Better AI that really races you in a human way.
-A full-featured campaign / career mode where each result matters.
-Damaging your car needs to affect your race. Crash on the first turn? Too bad, your race is probably over. Learn to race properly.
-Pitstops and tire choice / wear needs to be on point.

If they do all that then I'm there 100%.

Disappointing if the sound in the game sucks. That is so important to a racing game. But as long as they nail everything else, I will be in.

Polyphony looking to support PlayStation VR from launch of GT Sport

Yamauchi plans to make all aspects of GT Sport compatible with PlayStation VR

Please stop with the Driveclub comparison. They are 2 different games. Look GT has a bigger grid and a much more sophisticated physics engine. How many things can be customized in Driveclub? Can you alter the car handling? No you cant. There are basically next to ZERO alterations in DC other than slapped on decals so its much easier to make it look the way it does, plus its only 30fps. Rant over

Well I apologise for saying "dumb shit" but I was a bit offended by being suspicious just because I want the game to be good.

It's the same with every racing game, everyone screams "MEGATON" and "GOAT" when they see some good looking screenshots but don't care if it ends up sounding and playing like shit. I want a good racing game, not just a good photo generator, and some of the stuff I'm seeing isn't suggesting that it's much different from GT6, but it gets drowned out by graphics talk.

I'd like to consider myself a pretty hardcore GT fan (I still go back to GT2 and GT4 because they're incredible and just feel great for such old games), but after the massive letdown of GT6 I feel like a jaded lover towards the franchise so I'm suspicious of new news.

Apologies again for being a bit snarky but hopefully now you can see I'm not just a Forza fanboy but rather more faithful to it now because my beloved GT took some massive missteps.
