I think the frustrating part is that Sony has other similar games that would also be relatively cheap to produce but are also much more beloved and well received critically and they're just letting rot. Like Ape Escape or Jumping Flash. The reality is that a game like Knack will always carry around a negative view. Previews for the new game will certainly mention that the original carries a 54 Metacritic. So why push through that?

Had a ridiculous dream that Dead Don't Ride was a spiritual successor to Mod Nation Racers but with trains lol. E3 Fever kicking in bad.

I haven't had a E3 dream as far as I can remember since 2008 probably. I was young, naive and dangerously hyped for Nintendo's conference.

Never again.

I still can't believe how terrible it was. 2008 was the year when Wii was supposed to finally show some muscle, at the height of it's power. And we got nothing. I still think it's by far the worst conference ever, it was not entertaining like Konami 2010, it wasn't even cringey enough to become something like Activision 2007. It was a boring mess with huge expectations coming crashing down.

the only thing that would made this conference memorable to me are the announcement of NEO with price and release date and announcement and gameplay of god of war 4, everything else i don't really care

lol Which is funny because the games themselves for me will make the conference memorable, the Neo or whatever can take a hike. It's going to be bad enough they're likely going to dedicate show time to the PSVR.

That said just out of sheer curiosity I've gotta admit I'm most excited about the MS conference this year. Looking forward to how they handle announcing all these sweeping changes and new HW announcements more so than pretty much anything else. Theres potential for either a big win or a humiliating fumble. Its gonna be fun times.

I'll honestly be shocked if they announce Scorpio. No way no how. Slim however I think has a strong possibility.

I'm not convinced the iterative cycles will be a great idea but I'm going to buy one to replace my PS4 since I'm a sucker for shiny new hardware. We already know pretty much everything about Neo but I hope we see what it looks like. Wouldn't be opposed to a improved DS4 too.

Also personal hope of mine that won't happen: I hope it looks ridicilous in the best way possible.

I'm mostly interested how they will present it. They know the first game wasn't well received and for example Yoshida talked on an interview how dissapointed he was for the reception of PS4 launch lineup (Knack especially).

I think they will save it for TGS and just kinda drop it there. But if it was a E3 announcement I imagine they will try to do a salestalk for it telling how it has improved and whatnot, that it's aiming for younger audience and/or that it will be a budget title like Ratchet (or even lower if it's done by some super small Cerny team).

I'm not the biggest fan of the first game but I'm willing to go in open minded to see what they decide to do with a sequel. After all I'm ready to be super forgiving for launch games.

Well, I would be salty if Knack 2 appears and Crash is nowhere to be seen. If we get a crossover Knack n' Crash I don't know how I would feel lol.

There must be some confidence that Knack 2 will be significantly better than the first title if they went ahead with the sequel. Surely they're aware that the game didn't become a meme based on how enjoyable it was.

The Last Guardian was re-introduced last year, Project Beast turned out to be Bloodborne and was released over a year ago, Uncharted 4 just came out. This GIF could be even funnier if we simply swapped in the currently hyped games. I say we put Crash Bandicoot at the front now.

Also, is anyone else watching previous E3's to get hyped? I'm even watching the embarrassing moments of previous E3's. :p

Edit: Looking at the GIF in more detail, more than half of the games mentioned are already out. The Order, Driveclub, The Witness, Batman Arkham Knight. Someone update it ASAP! :p
