I think they need to make a pretty clear difference between REQ Certs and Single Use REQs.

Daily win needs to give more single use, and they need to add challenges and/or more req pack buying options (money and req points).

As it is, maybe once a week youll get a dope single use card in a daily. And then you just sit on it. Cause its single use.

The grind for better reqs wouldnt be so bad if im sitting on a bunch of single use legendaries every couple of matches

ESPECIALLY when fire fight comes out theyd be absurd to not give people the ability to get more reqs.

One thing I don't understand is that when you finish a tier you start getting REQ refunds. So, now that I've finished Gold packs, instead of permanent unlocks I start getting two 3000 point cards, making the final cost of the pack 4000 REQ instead of 10000 REQ. Why can't people just buy packs without permanent unlocks for the post-reimbursement cost? You should be able to blow 4000 REQ on a Gold pack with no permanent unlocks.

Players also need the option to blacklist REQs, or at least a certain number. If I could blacklist Scout Hogs or Mongoose REQs so that I never get those (since I never use them) that'd be amazing. The more chances I have to get The Answer or Blood of Suban the better. Maybe you could make it so that you could blacklist a certain percentage of possible REQs, like 15% or something? Remove some of the redundant fat.

They should add Halo 5 Guardians to GwG or like people said offering the Halo 5 multiplayer free to play. If you play via F2P version, you won't get req points and have to purchase the packages or something comparable.

Free for Warzone/Assault only and no REQ points. $19.99 for Arena.

I'd like more req points per game. The Slayer, Arena, and Swat payout is pitiful. If Im gonna be dominated by full teams I might as well enjoy the post-game reward.

Looks like I don't need my XBO anymore.
Just a bad decision all around imo. Unless people are not buying halo 5 anymore. then it doesn't really matter. Make some profit from pc players. Sad really. What some really good maps could have done for the game and not shotty remixes and a complete lack of forge maps, and no solo queue and bad servers.

I'm sure they will have a PC side and an Xbox side (if this is true)

I asked Che on tweeter if the Forge PC thing will have some HCS related stuff happen with the custom games and he replied "hmmmmmm 😎"

I don't think this is going to be as simple as just releasing it on PC, again I am thinking it will be an expansion.

Honestly if we don't see Halo 6 till 2018 (likely) having the MP guys work on Halo 5 up until next year would be a good idea, then port Halo 5 Multiplayer over as the base for Halo 6 multiplayer with a huge sandbox increase, re-balance and ect.

Frank literally said though Halo 5 full PC release not something in the pipeline aside from the free forge for PC client. Why announce the forge client but then hold back oh wait we're actually going to release the full game too.

I am not calling Frankie a liar or anything but he is damn good about handling rumors even if they are true. Like he is actually the best at it.

That being said, he might have actually meant Halo 5 in it's current form isn't coming to Windows 10 so there might be Halo 5: ODST or something a long those lines that will bring the game to Win10

Would also spike up the community too

It was a pretty great build up. The slow increase in heart rate matched well with the dramatic build-up of pace of the exploding Forward Unto Dawn.

It matched well with the "Scanned" trailer too, with both trailers exposing Chief's internal anatomy

I think it was Zeezbruh

EDIT: Here it was

12k GTs out of 46 million Xbox Live MAUs. Halo 5 probably sold around 2-3 mil now right?

Now I don't know if he was referring two 12k GTs have played AT LEAST or EXACTLY 1 game of slayer THAT night or UP UNTIL that night.

Dear lord. Halo needs PC players yesterday.

For competitive halo, they'd have to separate PC players from Console if they were going to do it. To really do Halo PC right, they should dramatically shrink hit boxes and totally remove magnetism. But even with that the PC skill ceiling would be higher than the Xbox skill ceiling.

Yeah, I'm worried how this would impact the competitive scene. Having a controller league and Kb/m league seems lame to me.

I don't think it would impact the current scene at all, because all the current pros play on controllers, and it would be silly to alienate them.

Any PC competitive seen that emerges would probably not even be run by a 3rd party, If i had to guess. The two can't cross paths though, because the skill of the best PC player will exceed that of the best player on a controller.

No way would there be a m/kb pro league.

H5 on PC would play very differently at a high level imo, I don't think it would be as good to watch. Halo just isn't designed to be played with a mouse.

While I disagree with the last part, you're right, the meta game will be very different on PC

The last part being that it isn't designed to be played with a mouse?

I don't know how you could really disagree with that, it's pretty much a fact considering it has always been designed to be played with a controller.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be playable with a mouse, only that it's going to be very, very different.

This is why I can't wait to see h5 custom games on PC. Halo's mechanics were tailored to the controller. The AIm-Assist system is the backbone of the weapon balancing.

Without a need for AA, how do you balance weapons? If I can easily cross map you with a pistol, what good is the DMR?.

On the other side is the movement. Crouch jumping/ stabilize jumping/ advanced flag juggling/ dash cancelling, crouch strafing etc, sounds like they'd all be a chore with a keyboard.

I'm so curious to see how it plays out.

Exactly, I wrote a fairly lengthy post on it on Beyond.

The sniper is especially interesting. On PC it would be just as easy to use as the pistol, how do you balance something like that? Any decent player who picks up a sniper is basically guaranteed to go on a killing frenzy.

The number of reversals would be drastically reduced because the stafe speed is too slow related to how easy it would be to shoot on PC.

There's a bunch of thing swhich would be very different.

I believe on the 5th of June we had 12,000 unique halo 5 players play 1 game. Forgot who told me this here.

Not sure what you mean in terms of that phrasing, because it's weird phrasing, but on the 5th of June we had many hundreds of thousands of players. Unless there's a REALLY big team battle mode I am unaware of.

Well you can add this guy to your list of "doesn't know what he's talking about

I kind of wish the team colors would get switched up a bit. Blue is just way too hard to see on like half of the maps. Played swat on stasis and could barely make out players across the map. I know most wouldn't like it but I'd seriously be okay with like a bright yellow and a bright orange color or bright green.

Why can't we be graced with Daily Unique User numbers and playlist population like in the good old days?

It is all very interesting. It's also why I'd like to see a cross-play experiment. While I believe PC users would eventually rule the roost, I think there'd be enough hurdles on the mechanics side (and assists on the console side) to ensure that PC players would be scattered all over the skill spectrum... such that people from each camp could find good competition.

I vaguely remember the H2 vista days, where kb/m players would complain about losing to people who used controllers w/ aim assists.

Apparently it's constantly adding new players.

I guess it could just be missing a bunch of people still.

I was very curious as to how zeez was getting his numbers. There was a guy on Reddit who would post population data after each season. He said that with limited API access, it took two weeks to get the majority of the population information for the season prior... And he still wasn't sure he was getting ALL unique tags.

I think HaloTracker said they only pull info on the people registered on the site + people who registered users play against.

I think PC players would destroy console players. Shooting would be far, far easier with a mouse than a controller on H5.

I think I saw the same posts and I'm pretty sure it used a similar method to Halo tracker.

It seems like they're implying they grab data for everyone on Halo tracker though, just over a period pf time. I'm guessing this is where Zeez got his data.

If it says we had 12000 players in one day, then yes, but I don't think they make any such claim. We won't share numbers but Halo 5 is in the hundreds of thousands unique, daily.

Fair enough, thanks for the clarification.

Guess I'm keeping my XBO! E3 should be interesting.

Anyone playing Mythic Shotty Snipers? Turns out I have Rain Man skills at that mode. Am thinking of therefore lobbying to have it made permanent and ranked. And replace whatever you like instead.

Generally they would. like I said the skill ceiling is higher. But shooting is just one aspect of the game. Just like with any PC shooter, There will be players who have low halo IQ, poor movement, use controllers etc.
Today, There are people who use controllers for PC shooters and still manage to enjoy themselves. It isn't a complete death wish, especially when the system is actively attempting to match you with players of similar output.

For example the below average PC player could be God with a sniper. But will he be able to setup and secure the sniper? Not neccisarily.

We had people using controllers in h2 vista, and they were able to hold their own

methods are surely similar, but according to their website, HTR is only pulling player data from the games of registered users.

Prolly a big enough sample size to monitor trends, but it can't really tell you how many people play halo.
