we might get that wireless noise cancelling earbud set that was released in the UK. (i'm actually interested in it) but i agree they should make a premium single-ear model. my wife doesn't like over the ear headphones, and so she uses earbuds connected to her PS4. usually leaves one ear out.

the mono headset that comes with the PS4 hurts my ears. i don't know why companies still make hard plastic earbuds anymore. the official Vita earbuds are perfect to me, and they sound fantastic. if they released a single-ear version of that it would make a great upgrade from the standard PS4 unit.

A worldwide release date probably won't happen but it's not out of the realm of possibility that there is a short teaser announcing DQXI for the west IMO. The PS4 version is obviously being developed with the west somewhat in mind considering the low sales for console games in Japan (even though the PS4 version of DQXI will still be huge over there).

Thanks for that, it was a good read. I'll say this much though, if the conference ends on a Horizon demo... well I won't be too chuffed about. Would be very underwhelming in my opinion. I know last year they ended with an Uncharted 4 set-piece, but that ended up being pretty much the best moment in the same and I doubt Horizon would have anything to measure up to that demo anyway. But I find Horizon pretty uninteresting in general, so that's just me.

Thanks for reading. I went with Horizon as the closer because I see that as the new "flagship" first-party game now that Uncharted 4 is out. They seem to be betting big on it, so I imagine it will be an apt closer like U4 was last year.

God of War could be the closer, though.

It's normal that publishers want to give the spotlight to things that would be lost among much bigger news during the conference days.

Last years montage trailer lasted less than 10 minutes and it was the best way to handle the announcements in my opinion. It can have a place in the conference, blog post are ok too

Big publishers like EA and Activision are just not going to devote time to something unproven until it is proven. It's Sony's job to really sell the unit, they have about as good of support as you can expect. I think Indy developers are going to be front and center for a while besides Sony's own games.

Good thing about VR is, you only need one hit and you can potentially have a Wii-sports moment since it's a completely new way to play video games. It's certainly not as socially interactive or as cheap as a Wii so not talking about sales here, but Sony should be trying to find that one game for the system that almost everyone gets.

With all these bigger megatons, I almost forgot about Bloodborne 2. Does anyone else think we'll see it there? I definitely hope so, Bloodborne was awesome. 2 years sounds about right for From Software's development cycle, right? I'm wondering when it will release, though.

That would be nice, Max Payne 1 and 2 are a couple of my favorite games of all time, unfortunately I haven't been able to play anything Remedy's made since then.
