Totally blindsided by this, we all knew about Spider-Man but we all thought it was gonna be Sucker Punch.

After Sunset Overdrive, I know for a fact that the boys and gals over at Insomniac has the chips to make an awesome Spidey game. Congrats Ted Price.

A couple of days ago a GAF member said it was Insomniac.

Costume seemed weird, but these guys have the pedigree to make a good Spider-Man game. I have hopes, but it's still fairly tepid.

So Activision has the third Party license and Marvel made this with insomniac with their first party license for a Sony exclusive?

Yeah - Sony could have a first party exclusive license to Spider-man (ala MLB The Show) and paid insomniac to develop the game. I'm just spitballing here on reasons why Activision wouldn't be in the picture. It's either that or Activision's deal ends next year, so imsomniac is developing the game for Sony to release once that deal is up.
