What chest are they talking about...? There's no chest in the attic. Surely to Christ they aren't talking about the tackle box lol

How do you survive the phone call? Something with the axe, right? Or did I mishear it?

re: Mirror numbers - I think that's a reflection of the light coming through the door down the hall.

Wait, how'd you hear that?
Its thd song in trailer for game. But the words are a little different than the original folk song. Original says tell her her goose is dead or something like that and this one says everyone is dead.

I'm thinking it has to do with her because at start it says shes back. And end of trailer has a silhouette of a woman in window. I cant check right now but when you get outside thats the front of the house where you see her in trailer right?

In my head it seems like that would be the same spot the muffs/headphones are at where shes at window since coming diwn stairs its left to go outside going up them is a right to get to the muffs/headphones. Is there a window there? I cant check right this sec. Anyway that has me thinking it has something to do with her now.

Damn, I really want to know what that dude's idea was, but I can't be bothered to dig over a thousand reddit replies.

Those maniquins keep moving by themselfs, what the heck. They turn around, apear in other places or just fly across the room. Too much maniquins for the finger-key to be nothing.

The chest in question.

That chest looks the same as the one in the crawl space, so probably just a prop. But, if you *could* get there, the only way would be to raise the stairs somehow, which would only be possible if you can blow the fuse without even going down the stairs. So basically not.

Well, if there were a way to raise the stairs after the player gets up there, you'd have your path.

I don't have the game..

Can the stairs be re-raised if you re-press the button once it's down? Could you run up to it before it's done raising?

Edit: Was also wondering, can you use the cutter on the finger?

what about cutting the wire in the stairs?

I don't believe you can once it's down.

I did wonder for a bit, hearing about this unbreakable box, what would happen if said box was underneath the stairs when they came down, but I don't know where this box is or why that would even help

So far I've found three breakable mannequins, the one in the attic, the one upstairs that appears after the mannequins flip, and the one that falls in front of you when you're about to "leave the house." Anyone think this has anything to do with anything?

Yes. That one regens, and I *think* the one on the 2nd floor that you spawn in never does. Could be wrong on that, though.
It doesn't, from what I can tell.

We do see the fuse box moved during the VHS and not connected to the top wire, which i assume runs up the stairs.

You know, the more i look at the skull in the umbrella helicopter the more it does look intentional, and it is right over the logo. I may have been playing this too long and just seeing things now.

What happens when you drop items? Do they just lay on the ground, or are they gone forever.

Never been able to drop an item, actually. Though I haven't tried dropping the lockpick. I know you can't drop the finger once you acquire it.

Yeah, I noticed that. It's really weird. Idk how easy it is to move a fuse box. Someone else mentioned that maybe it's not the same house. Either way, it seems significant.

Haven't read the entire thread but has anyone tried setting the ps4 clock back 3 years?

Yes someone tried that.

Did someone try not picking up the finger? Maybe it's a link to the mannequins and that's how the family man tracks you? (I kind of doubt it, but every time I watched someone try different things, they would always pick it up.)

Yeah, I tried this earlier. No difference I could notice.
