I just beat Dynatron and so far the bosses are easy. They move so slow that you can instantly predict all of their attacks.

I'm on Xbox with all the DLC downloaded and it worked fine.
Ah, cool. Thanks for the confirmation.

I did a quick Google search about PSN update time and it says 5pm EST. If that's true, ouch!

PSN codes won't work until the store is fully updated. It's always like this. And the update can be at any moment from 30 minutes...to 12 hours.

Holy crap! Today's real megaton is that more than two people can have the same first name.
Still waiting for them to send my EU Wii U code, but I have no desire to play it so will probably give it to an interested friend. Has anyone got their's yet?

I've been sent DLC codes for the game, but no game code.

tried the codes out anyway and none of them work.

"The Prepaid Card code you entered is incorrect or is no longer valid"

absolutely terrible.

Oh fucking wow, there's going to be a Nvidia Shield version too? And they haven't even mentioned it on that "coming soon" version.

It's not a bad game, and that's honestly the most disappointing thing about it. It's technically incompetent, graphically uninspired and lacks depth. But it's not bad.

It just... is.

Doesn't the 3DS have one?

No word at all on that yet. Since the handheld ports are delayed nothing has really been confirmed. Rumors are floating around that the Vita will at least get a physical port in Asia, but again nothing concrete has really been confirmed as of yet.

It is bad. It's reasonable to expect something much more than this for that budget. They should be ashamed when looking at KS made by teams of 1, 2, or 3 people making games with 1/20 the budget that look ten times better

So my RAY dlc didn't work on Steam either, instead it looks like I got 2 humble bundle codes. I read someone on GAF had a similar issue last night.

Is this a known issue? After all this time, you think they'd get it right.

Again those smaller teams are not really at 1/20 the budget they just aren't paying themselves properly which Comcept can't do. Also most of those games focus on 1 to 2 platforms. At least keep things in perspective. This isn't a great game but it's not some giant con just a disappointing result.

Have you contacted the Humble Store?

Having only played the demo, I didn't find it to be bad, just soulless, bland, etc. Level design was (imo) fine, the game is just ugly and the music is horrible (which to me is a worse offense than bad graphics). Though if you pit it in comparison with other kickstarter platform games, like say, Shovel Knight, then yes, it is quite bad (again, I can only speak about the demo levels).

The problem is that it's that same sentiment that got them into this mess in the first place. Inafune couldn't think small, he had to go big for reason. This game feels like it wants to be something more other than a simple Mega Man clone with it's voice acting and cutscenes.

A lot of us have this problem. On twitter they said they are looking into it.

After beating the first five bosses of Mighty No. 9 all I have to say is.....it's okay. Besides the lackluster art style and questionable level design choices (bosses can gain health if you don't dash into them fast enough..really?) I don't absolutely hate it. Will dive back into the game later and see if the rest of the game can maintains this quality.

Am I overreacting if I say that this puts me off from Inafune and Comcept for good?
I never get upset about a simple delay, or the game turning to be mediocre, but Mighty No 9 has broken me, I think. Even on launch day, the fuckery continues.

Kamiya was right about him, he was right all along...

I mean, the technical issues absolutely make it a bad game, and it's clearly been mismanaged from the start and should have produced something better with that budget.

But put that to the side for now and you're left with a game with no notable or interesting qualities.

This shit is not acceptable for $4 million of crowd funding with countless delays. It's a 2.5D sidescroller. The second you give it any sympathy towards a product that was borderline bait and switch, you only encourage mediocre products. The point of this Kickstarter was to show fans' love for a dying franchise with a spiritual successor, yet it failed to even come close to the standards of good game design, especially from such stars.

Not only has Keiji Inafune damaged his own name, but he is bringing down Kickstarter and its integrity for other developers. OUYA was also a huge waste, and I'm suspicious of how Shenmue 3 is going to turn out.

So you're right, it's not a bad game. It's a product that will plague an entire website, legacy, and fans.

Despite the numerous hiccups I'm actually enjoying this game. Love the challenge
Ray mode
offers. I've yet to play Beck's modes so that could change, but this reminds me of Megaman Zero.

The DLC stage to get
Raychel
runs horribly though.

(Wii U version, mind you.)

Though, if he was a good businessman, you'd at least think the game and dlc codes would have been in proper order from the beginning.

Is there any footage of the Minecraft Hero DLC in action? And is the 8 bit soundtrack still a thing?

I was going to buy the Wii U version of this game, then I read all the performance complaints, so I thought I'd get it for my laptop and apparently there isn't a mac version yet? Did that get delayed?

The launch for this game seems to be akin to a drunk horse stumbling out the gate, walking a few steps sideways, and then finally deciding to lie down and fall asleep. Codes not working, certain releases apparently produced/ported with less-than-stellar results, other versions missing the launch date, the game crashing on the official stream...it's like a chain reaction of pileups that the mediocre reviews (or the Masterclass trailer if one wants to go further back) initially sparked off.

The game itself isn't awful (though it doesn't sound like it's great either), but the circumstances and issues surrounding it is certainly framing it as a glorious dumpster fire, that those disappointed in how the game has turned out can come together and join hands to revel in schadenfreude.

Same problem here, and yeah, it's a global issue (as far as I know), there's a whole thread on the Steam forum about that right now.

Let's not judge quality and expectations by budget sizes cuz we might as well judge every shitty big AAA game out there by how much money was put into it. Let's judge it by what it originally set out to do: be a game that honors the legacy of Mega Man and add something new to the formula. Yes, it failed to do that. It's a subpar Mega Man game that doesn't add anything new to the formula. That doesn't mean it's damaging Kickstarter. There have been plenty of successful Kickstarted games. This game is only going to effect Inafune from this point on.

Plus we honestly don't know what the budget was at the end. 4 Million would not have been able to produce this game on as many platforms as its on. Deep Silver had to pony up some amount of dough.

It doesn't make any of this acceptable, but it's not fair to really be dragging Kickstarter through the mud with this right now - we've had plenty of well received games come out funded by the service since MN9 was announced.
