yea I am sure his appearance in the game will look different. Hope he still wears 2013 clothe and the hood in the game.
Edit: looking at the image carefully, the Kingsglave clothe could be same one from 2013. The collar inside the hood looks the same. So it could just be that hood is separate armor that he wears in battle or something.

I still cant get over how older and different luna looks,has anyone ask the devs why the drastic change?
For Kingsglave they are capturing the face based on real actors, so that's why all the characters (except Regis) looks different.

I hope there's some dlc that changes her look just like kingsglaive. Because seeing her from kingsglaive and then the game version looking like she has this totally different face is weird to me.

Kinda just proved my point with that gif. >_> We're talking about a woman who, if I'm correct, survived a city being destroyed, and is probably stressed to hell and back about her current situation and the circumstances that led to them, probably to the point of having trouble sleeping, yet her skin is absolutely flawless at all times. Her movie appearance reflects that type of person. In-game one not so much.

Also, I think Ravus is wearing some kind of glasses at the peace treaty. Watching old Versus and XV trailers, he wasn't supposed to be there, unless that short haired blond guy that was near to Iedolas was supposed to be a redesign.

Nah I'd just like for Luna to look like her from kingsglaive cause I think skin dlc wouldn't need lip sync haha. Should have clarified my bad.

you would have to change Noctis skin with DLC as well, or else it would look strange when we get to see the weeding scene.

Ravus was there at some point because in the E3 2013 trailer he appears inside the peace treaty room. Probably not in the moment where everything goes to hell though.

But of course a real-time model in a console game won't be looking as realistic as a CG render of an actual person.

This is also a game where characters can manifest fire from thin air and summon giant fictional beasts, does it have to conform to reality in every sense? The criticism of Luna are equally relevant to Noctis and the rest of the crew. They are supposed to look slick and the aesthetics are also rooted in tastes from the early 2000s. Overall, I think she looks more idealised/prettier in the game, but I like the movie look as well. She does look more like a 'real person' but that is probably more to do with the massive difference in fidelity. I don't, however, think her look in the film is more interesting. It is certainly no more distinctive. Coming from the UK, I think it is a fairly standard look actually (not her looks, the look).

I agree. I love everything about the Kingsglaive renders.
I think Square Enix may be using Kingsglaive as a marketing tool primarily in the west. The western designs, especially Nyx's in particular, may be a way to bring western people into the franchise that wouldn't normally purchase a JRPG.
And then you've got the more JRPG/anime designs and influence in the core game so that the Japanese market doesn't abandon the game either, since Final Fantasy is already considered to be an extremely westernized franchise in Japan.
Basically movie Luna looks like someone whose been through some shit, while in-game Luna looks like a pampered teen.

People are talking about new characters of the movie and I remember that once Square showed a dev vídeo which feautured the Bros plus Luna plus other female character in a Inn that we haven't seen since then. I Wonder who she is...

I never think that "it's fantasy" is ever a good some excuse for the criticism of character design, the dev team IIRC went in and made Noctis and Co. Especially when we have such a good example of what could've been.
Just remembered she was also seemingly attacked as a child. Luna straight up has been through some shit:
EDIT:I just realized that Noctis and Co are going to Altissia for a wedding with Luna, yet she's in Insomnia. Any impressions say that they explain why?
