Wish I could stay awake to follow this. Hope it continues to be uneventful (save for the unnecessary tear gassing of course)

Too many white Americans still don't care. You can see it. Some are very open about why black people deserve to die.

It is just staggering to me. I was hoping for a big shift in the general attitude during the past 48 hours but I have to be honest I am disheartened so far.

As a side note in regards to tonight's events, San Antonio PD had shots fired at their headquarters tonight. A bit scary to hear since I'll be heading to the city in a few days.

News claims tear gas was used after 2 cops were injured by bottles and rocks in Minnesota. Who knows if that's true though.

Say it louder for the people in the back. Nothing really came out of Ferguson that the people living there didn't already know. Ferguson PD and legislators were proven to be complete scum to the world and all they learned is to do a better job at covering their asses when the press comes around.

Well social media and right wing media has labeled the peaceful BLM movement as a terrorist organization. This is exactly what police wanted... completely in a I don't give a fuck mode because of Dallas (even though the shooter had nothing to do with BLM)..

The KARE livestream showed rocks being tossed off the overpass onto the cops below on i94.

Not that its a big deal but it's St Paul, not Minneapolis. Police are getting hit by concrete and report just said a Molotov cocktail was just thrown. This is a couple miles from where I live and on my daily commute. This is INSANE.

I've never seen so much care for traffic blocking in my fucking life until the roads were filled with black people seeking equality. I've got no doubt some of the posts there are word for word identical to sentiments from the civil rights era.

I can't help but compare how the police are handling this (and most every other protest with BLM) to the Dallas police. I'm proud of how our city police handled our protest/rally. It's a stark contrast to so many other protests with police waving their guns every which way, handcuffing people for being off the sidewalk, and decked out in full riot gear against 20-somethings. It's sad that we kind of expect these protests to turn out this way most of the time.

But TRAFFIC!!!!

You know, that huge problem for these people. That they didn't even deal with.

Americans in favor of arresting both protestors and media covering the event..... I feel like half of the country is completely insane and I don't know how to help them. I don't even know where all that hate and anger come from.

At this point, at least for me, I'm so sick and tired and at a place where I can say run me the fuck over then. There are already police pointing guns at protesters along with God knows how many white supremacists or maniacs are roaming in their cars loading up too. At that point the difference between pulling the trigger and not exists in the same moment when you're starting down that barrel and going home means nothing changes in terms of the blade over my head or the heads of my friends and family. Yet these protesters continue and persevere in the face of that.

If I'm out there I can at least say this cause is something I'm personally ready to be harmed or killed for so if getting past me is worth harming or killing a fellow human being to you, be my guest.

I will say the inconvenience/theoretical grandma ambulance point is stupid, but when it becomes dark out, it is a matter of safety and the protestors need to get off the interstate.
