I hope he shows Tekken 7 console version at Gamescom.
Exactly what I am wondering in here all along. How is only Gamestop US having this inside information and promo material? Gamestop and the US aren't the only places in the world that are promoting and going to sell this game. Gamescom is being set up over in Cologne right now. Booths are going up and a lot of people are working on this. One would have probably noticed something out of the ordinary with FFXV. Or are the Europeans just no leakers?
Also, what about that leaker who suddenly claimed this was all a ploy to sniff out leaks, probably to save his ass if the delay turns out to be untrue after all?
Last but not least half the people in here are all of a sudden making up these huge problems that FFXV apparently is having right now and that need to fixed in a delay. That's actually the very first time I'm hearing the game is that broken. Apart from the not so great (but imo bearable) IQ the game seemed to be coming along nicely. It's like many were hoping for a delay all along. XD

True, especially with Gamescom being set up, I'd expect they'd have the new date on the booth or something, since they'd want to get the message out. It is also odd that they were still promoting the game as normal last week, even doing an ATR. The decision to have a delay must have been super sudden... which would be weird given they'd have had to get all the new materials printed and mailed.
FFXV's problems are known and well documented. I'm not sure how that's new info.
Apparently... Yoshi is on GAF. He complained about feeling neglected on GAF from people....
What were this well documented problems since lets say the Uncovered Event? We are hearing nearly daily about the game and the movie and anime, business partners and just recently the DLC plans and soundtrack. Press and fans have been playing this game, it's been already rated in all regions. All seems to be falling in place pretty fine. What are these problems, seriously?
Having played the Duscae and Platinum demos, the game seem to run pretty well, even back in Duscae, which was the equivalent to a really early beta, I never ran into many problems, and Platinum demo played really well for me, the only qualms I had with it was that they made XV out to be a platformer instead of an RPG. The combat in Duscae felt a bit messy, but playing the Platinum demo it seemed they had really tightened it up, I expect it will play even better now.

I think we can all agree that the Platinum demo was a terrible idea as a way to show off anything about the game.
Just a bunch of bad ideas thrown together really quick.
I don't think the performance issues with Luminous are a small thing. What were this well documented problems since lets say the Uncovered Event? I didn't love Platinum myself but I accept it for how it is.Ehhhhh... If anything, the demos should have been released in reverse order. Duscae with the gameplay/button mapping improvements of Platinum would have been more fun I imagine. Other than that, I had no problems w/ Platinum for what it was.
I feel like Tabata's openness about the development of the game has back fired as we've seen some shots of the game in development for the majority of the time. We've had a couple of cool looking trailers, but I feel like we've seen more in development footage than finished footage.

I still think releasing that to a general public is beyond stupid.

I thought the Dawn trailer was a bad idea, thought Platinum demo was a bad idea, thought the E3 trailer was a horrendous idea, Titan demo was a bad idea... this is all Matt ain't it. smh

well it looks really bad and all the demos have been bad and it performs terribly but i guess those don't qualify as new problems, exactly.

Hue hue. I rescind my claim about new problemswell it looks really bad and all the demos have been bad and it performs terribly but i guess those don't qualify as new problems, exactly.
1) I've already explained this to you, but simply put, a lack of information is not information. Especially because we do not know the current sources, their role, and where the rollout is currently at in the timeline. We also do not know how Gamestop handles these deployments before they get to the stores and how much lead-time they have before they notify store-level managers.1 Exactly what I am wondering in here all along. So in Japan is already Monday afternoon , whenever we wake up this was all a nightmare or a good dream to some.
Good night America.
I don't think the performance issues with Luminous are a small thing.
Lackluster showings and demos haven't helped either.

3) We have no idea of the state of the game besides what we have seen, and majority would not say they were happy with the performance.

Lmao imagine if this is a purely western delay!!!I live in Japan. All the promotional matierial hasn't changed.

Outside of AA and some other IQ issues, the game looks fine.

it suffers badly from japanese flat world syndrome, textures are bad especially ground textures, trees look terrible and vegetation is generally sparse, lighting is quite flat in many cases and downgraded from showings a few years ago, the open world is purportedly gated into segments for performance reasons, monster models look pretty bad, animation is pretty iffy, there are visible clipping problems (this was every few seconds in the titan demo), the character designs are bad (especially cidney, but the squad look bad too). bounding/colision boxes on movement are weird in some footage, and camera and animation transitions into qte moments in the titan demo were jerky. all of this runs at a low dynamic resolution with visible aliasing, the user interface is crowded and ugly, and visual components of combat such as visual feedback on hits are poor. finally, both of the publicly released demos ran substantially under 30fps and had bad drops, as well as bad frame pacing.
honestly this is one of the ugliest high budget titles i've seen in a long time. i assume because they made it onwhite engineblack enginecrystal toolsluminous engineluminous studio pro rather than using an off-the-shelf engine made by people who actually have experience developing and releasing games.
the particle and smoke effects, and some of the weather stuff looks pretty good though.
i get that i'm a negative nancy and a lot of people in these threads are very excited for the game and everything, but i'm not making stuff up out of thin air.

Nice... congratulationsno i was actually giving your opinion, my own opinion is totally different i just felt bad you were too shy to elaborate on your opinion so i said it for you

Took this at the local game shop Yesterday.
Im not quite onboard with animation complaints since much of it looks really solid. But yeah I'm onboard with a lot of the rest of the critiques.it suffers badly from japanese flat world syndrome, textures are bad especially ground textures, trees look terrible and vegetation is generally sparse, lighting is quite flat in many cases and downgraded from showings a few years ago, the open world is purportedly gated into segments for performance reasons, monster models look pretty bad, animation is pretty iffy, there are visible clipping problems (this was every few seconds in the titan demo), the character designs are bad (especially cidney, but the squad look bad too). bounding/colision boxes on movement are weird in some footage, and camera and animation transitions into qte moments in the titan demo were jerky. all of this runs at a low dynamic resolution with visible aliasing, the user interface is crowded and ugly, and visual components of combat such as visual feedback on hits are poor. finally, both of the publicly released demos ran substantially under 30fps and had bad drops, as well as bad frame pacing.

Edit: said it as a joke but now truly horrified at this bein reality if it happens!
Final Fantasy XV is still dated for September 30th at stores in Japan. No plans to change the release date.
