You can now play more than 250 Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One

My remaining most wanted are probably Geometry Wars 2, Ridge Racer 6, and Ultra SFIV. And every Japanese shmup, but those are less likely.

I refuse to buy a Kinect for my 360 when I have a Kinect for my Xbox One.

You can grab a used Kinect for 360 at gamestop.com for $25. You can probably find them for even less on eBay. I know it sucks to have to make space for it, or to get a mount for the TV, but it's easier than ever to grab a 360 Kinect now.

Has there recently been any word on bringing XBLIGs to Xbox One?

No.

XBLIG submissions ended last Friday, and you have 1 year left to buy them before the store is taken down. As soon as they announced that a year ago, I took that to mean they're not coming to X1.

Yet still I can't play Halo 3/ODST (And Reach needs fixing asap.) and State of Decay. Titles which, by sheer coincidence, have remasters out on XB1.

Still a ton of 360 games on my shelf and account that aren't BC yet in addition to this (The majority of my games in fact), so I'm still having trouble really considering this feature the greatest thing ever like some seem to. Maybe the BC functionality on Nintendo consoles has spoiled me in years past, but XB1 BC still feels like a major WIP at this stage, and the slow drip feed of titles doesn't help much when most of what turns up is rubbish no one was asking for.

Is it as unplayable as Red Dead Redemption is on PS4?

How are you not completely embarassed to post something like?

How many of you have bought 360 games digitally because of BC? I think I've bought 5 different XBLA title since they started the BC process
There have actually been some decent sales on digital titles recently but I haven't bought a digital version of a retail release 360 game yet (to include back on 360). I have bought numerous 360 games recently though, in anticipation of them being made BC soon. I already have something like 650-750 disc-based 360 games so odds are that I'll already own whatever major game they make BC.
And I'm netting some good digital versions for free from Games with Live every month too; the digital version of Mirror's Edge has been super-cheap from time-to-time but I would've have bought it since I own it on disc. Now I will have a digital copy tied to my account after the free games this month.

Also: Assassin's Creed Rogue for BC! Jeez, it's taking forever.

250 games crippled with input lag.
As much as I appreciate their support for the feature,
or support at all, looking at you Sony
people like myself who notice even the slightest input delay can hardly enjoy a game with input lag as bad as it is now.

Worst part is, I doubt it's fixable.

Good, news. From zero to 250 in a year.

It isn't perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than nothing or even having to pay to play your games again.

Seriously?

Crippled with Input Lag so much that VF5FS somehow is less competitive? Where is this crippling of input lag coming from>
While I haven't played that title in particular, I'd presume. Every game I've tried on BC has had noticeable input lag.

I couldn't imagine playing a fighter on a competitive level with it.

Oh stop it. That's simply not true.

Nothing! I said nothing!
I'm guessing whenever crackdown 3 launches. Same with mass effect. I expect 2&3( if EA allows them that is) to become BC around the time when Andromeda releases or maybe sooner since they are longer games( like a month before) etc

I would've said pre-order bonus but since Sony may have ME marketing idk if MS can do that

Thing is though, when 3 launches I'll be playing 3. So I just want it now. Also burnout takedown whilst I'm moaning.

I want Burnout Revenge. I saw some articles saying that it was supposed to be available earlier this year but it never happened., very disappointed.

Been playing Forza a lot lately and I'm still impressed how well the bc stuff works.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Max Payne 3 please

Is Vanquish on BC yet? if not that as well.

I wish they'd put Blacklist up. It was the last game I played on the 360 and would like to go back.

also, Fight Night. UFC killed the boxing game so it's all I've got.

Is there a place keeping track of BC games that have been updated? I'm wondering if Gears 3 or Halo Reach perform any better, for example.

unfortunately not, Digital Foundry doesn't even state which version of the game they have tested

Love that they're still building this out. I've been able to knock out quite a bit of my 360 collection on my xbone.

Still waiting on Vanquish and Bulletstorm.

This isn't true at all, unless you are some savant when it comes to input lag, at which point I'd wonder how you could play any videogames with a wireless controller.

The PS4 is my only gaming machine right now, but if MS makes Lost Odyssey BC, I would definitely conciser grabbing an XB1. If playing on XB1 also fixes any performance issues the game had, they can take my money!

Loading will definitely be much better (it was when they introduced installing).

But Blue Dragon FPS increase? oooooh my god. If the emulator is targeting Xbox One, I imagine the Scorpio will have at least a 3-5fps increase. That would be so good.

I've played Red Dead, Gears 2, 3 and Alan Wake so far. Got great use out of BC.

Hope Lost Odyssey gets a release too I missed that game last gen as well.

Let us summon the wizards to convert cell code to x86 code on the fly.

Microsoft converted PowerPC code into x86 code. The cell is just a different architecture. You and I cannot talk about how difficult it would be, but it definitely can be accomplished. Sony just has different priorities.

Huh, so MS gave me a reason to get an XBO. I can probably retire my 360 when I finally get an XBO.

I was more worried about XBLA games not making it but seems most of the ones I played and wanted have.

Good job MS.

I have played a good few dozen online matches on Tekken Unlimited ("Tekken Tag 2") via 360 BC. There is no additional input lag versus playing natively on 360. The experience is flawless.

If you are experiencing problems (frame drops, etc.) then try clearing your 360 cache and/or rebooting your X1 (all the way...turn off "instant-on" mode first), then try again. That should hopefully fix it.

I'm pretty sure Geometry Wars Evolved 2 is already backwards compatible

Nope, only Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved.

No.

XBLIG submissions ended last Friday, and you have 1 year left to buy them before the store is taken down. As soon as they announced that a year ago, I took that to mean they're not coming to X1.

I figured that perhaps they didn't want people thinking doing an XBLIG would be a way to release a game on Xbox One, and they'd maybe bring them over to Xbox One after submissions closed, or at least a curated selection of the best ones.

I don't have a Xbox One yet, but I have to give Microsoft credit here. What they accomplished with creating a 360 emulator on the Jaguar CPU is just extraordinary.

Edit: I just found out that NeoGeo Battle Coliseum is backwards compatible. I want a Xbox One so much :(

I own about 100 physical Xbox 360 games, and only about 10 of them are BC. To be fair, they aren't very mainstream, but it sucks I can't use these games!

Like to be able to use my Xbox 1 account to purchase 360 games on Xbox 1 though.

I did my first 360 bc game of forza horizon 1 and had to set up a cc on 360 account just to purchase a free game. :(

Though I'm sure there was a better way, hopefully just never done it before.
