I want a "Classy" themed pack where every character gets a fancy suit or dress. I always love dressing up characters in the most expensive and luxurious clothing available in open-world games and the like.
No news yet on improving the BS survival mode...
They did, you don't need survival to unlock colours anymore.
People only played survival for colors or fight money.
But on the HK stage you had to break through the wall and then have another KO an that same side to get the noodle hat. But you get the hot dog hat immediately on the left side on the NY stage. There will be way more hats.

A "classics" pack for throwback costumes and a "black tie event" pack would be welcome additions to the game instead of the random costumes we get right now. Not a big fan of some characters getting far more costumes than others and some not having any good costumes at all.

Capcom revealed a bunch of new alts. One of which is the CPT Mystery Costume, which is a Necalli alt designed by Capcom Cup 2015 winner Kazunoko.
The winner of this year's Capcom Cup will have the same opportunity to design an alternate costume for the character of their choice.
The other revealed alts are a result of Capcom partnering up with Red Bull for some Red Bull-themed costumes for Ryu & Chun-Li.
The current plan according to Capcom is to have these out by November 2016.
Also, Capcom is adding an option to use DLC costumes in Story Mode. I'm guessing that this is for the General Story cutscenes, seeing as a similar option to use other costumes during in-game story fights already exists in the game.
The winner of this year's Capcom Cup will have the same opportunity to design an alternate costume for the character of their choice.

These Redbull costumes are surprisingly out of character, which isn't a problem by itself but I just don't like these specific costumes. Chun looks kinda "bitchy" and this is something I would expect Poison to wear. Ryus outfit just looks dorky ... so it would have been perfect for Dan.
Overall I like the idea of costumes that drastically change the look of characters, however these just look bad.

I don't even play Chun or Ryu buy I am going to purchase and use both of those costumes online for the sole purpose of bothering the heck out of people.
Same reason why the only Alex costume I ever use is his Battle Costume, really.
Survival needs to be updated anyway to include the DLC characters in the rotation as you only fight the original 16 there.

So we've gone from colors being unlockable by just playing the game in 4, to only being unlockable through a crapy survival mode in 5, to now them being purchasable in lieu of unlocking them. Am I missing a step, like are they unlockable through FM as well? Regardless, seeing people on here talk about how "reasonable" it is to pay $5 for everyones colors, when they were free in the last iteration, is pretty sad.

Damn, Kazunoko designed the new Necali costume? It looks really cool in action.
I bough the game on PC at launch and played a lot of it. Just last week I found it for just 20 for PS4 so I bought it again and will now wait until the update to start my 12 months PS+ subscription and play again.

Yup. I had a bunch of PSN cards set aside for DLC, but I've resigned myself to spending no additional money on this game as their 4x price hike is ridiculous. I would be what they'd consider a whale in terms of cosmetic DLC, too. With the money I could spend to get just one battle costume for each of the core roster characters, I could buy KOF in full. I can't believe they arent even offering bundles.
I played SF4 a lot and didn't unlock all the colors. I only got new colors through buying the updates, because they came for "free" with them.
It was pretty whack unlocking colors in SF4, especially if you only played a lot of local vs. because only 1p. counted for unlocking content. If you didn't use a lot of characters in SF4, then you weren't unlocking all of the colors.
I would GLADLY spend money to unlock shit that would otherwise have me going through single player content with characters I hate just to get colors in the game.
My time is worth more to me than the effort it would take to unlock them.

Unlocking colors in Ultra was trivial though, even if you just had to play vs a dummy 2p. Unlocking a color or quote just by playing a match was about as easy as you could ever get in a fighter.

It wasn't just colors, it was taunts and other stuff. And, still a huge waste of my time to get 14 colors with 40+ characters to do that.
To each their own. I'll just pay for it if given the option. I seriously do not want to waste the time I dedicate to playing games doing trivial, boring stuff to unlock colors for characters only my friends use.
Luckily I get all of this with the season pass.

Those Chun and Ryu costumes are something huh? The Ryu one like someone said is the BEST/WORST but honestly I don't like how there basically completely different characters with those outfits, and I'm wholly against the idea of branding making it into the actual game, keep your sponsors on your ads, jersey's and tags but don't let that shit infect the game, or at least the characters.
Also I'm pretty uneasy about how these costumes are actually going to look in the game, changing the skin color of characters worked just fine when there sprites, but on these high-quality 3d models, that have actual distinct ethnic traits, could end up looking pretty weird.
