I "stole" nothing, in the very first sentence of my post I'm open about finding it in Reddit, and in the very last one I say I don't think it means jack but that I'm amused all the same.

I know last news we heard pointed at March and everything, though the lack of official news so far, the 3DS games announced for 2017...at this point unfortunately a "delay" (since it's never been official announced) seems the more realistic scenario. I really want to be wrong and i want to see and play with this console as soon as possible, but my feelings are these unfortunately

Haven't checked, does it consist primarily of people stressing themselves out over literally nothing and then blaming Nintendo? Because that seems to be the average GAF NX thread in my experience.
All I got from the article was they negotiated and then settled it. That's how businesses work

Kind of a repeat of the Revolution/Wii hype.
Everyone and their mother was hyped up for the Revolution reveal.
And all we knew was...nothing. Literally. Just the codename. Everyone was hyped as fuck.
Most were still hyped once it was revealed to be vastly underpowered. And all this cost Nintendo $0 in terms of marketing beforehand.
NX could get the same attention actually. Everyone is obviously hyped up for the NX to be revealed. In its case though its underpoweredness is already taken into account beforehand (at least by most people it seems). Yet people are still hyped.
I know that I'm hyped, even though I'm trying to keep it at a normal level. I don't want to think up my dream console only to get that dream squashed by reality.
I will accept what Nintendo will throw at me. Blame my Nintendo-fanboyism for that.

I agree ! The only thing I'm hyped for is being able to play Breath of the Wild on the go, with a handheld powerful enough to play BotW (darn, March is so far away, the main theme of BotW is in my mind everyday...).
when you say "everyone", I think you are talking about a really low figure of people.
If you can get people who frequent message boards to buy your system, you've... done the absolute minimum required to qualify as being a part of the market.

Not really. Nintendo specifically said they'll talk about it more in the fall season. Not even fall yet.
That "everyone" is an extremely small amount of people in the grand scheme. The vast majority of customers Nintendo really wants don't even know this thing exists yet.
