Destiny |OT42| Embrace the Not-Knowing

So...I just double dipped on Destiny in the Xbox One and now I've got a question.

Am I going to have to grind a lot or play like a gazillion hours for the new update? I play by my own only, but I'm curious about that.

Currently Stuck at 352 on my Warlock and 353 on my Hunter >__>
I keep getting 355 gear in slots I've already got 355. The grind is real.

The Palindrome is pretty great if you play Crucible, though I'm sure it's fine for PVE too.

It's at the Crucible vendor.

Yeah - other than that I'm not sure there is anything that exciting really? With Year 2 gear still relevant, and a limited perk set and archetypes, it's going to be very hard for any weapon to stand out against a years worth of random rolls, plus two sets of vendor gear already (TTK original and April update).

I'm sure it's a different answer if you're just starting to use legendary gear in RoI though!

Finally had the chance to play for an extended length today. Did my Khvostov and Gjally quests and climbed Felwinter's after the story.

Took me almost 45 minutes to climb the damn thing. But once you're up there.

Feels good man.

Now I can't play till Monday night because of vacation. See you next week Raid.

Now tomorrows goal of 365+, then get ready for Raid

Also there's a 386LL Character... How in the blue fuck?

Looking for two to run a CoE card.
Seems like a good way to level - quick to run, gives a weapon and armor piece up to 365 and a decent chance at exotics, while also working toward a faction package.

I was puzzled yesterday. I just couldn't figure out how to trigger the next story mission. I assumed I'd have to complete the Archon Forge quest, but I wasn't quite sure. So I googled.. and learned that I had already finished the campaign. Iron Tomb was indeed the last mission. What a joke.

Yeah, the last mission of the story campaign. You're acting like that's it for the entire expansion when there's so much more to do.

destiny has been out for 2 years. it's not their fault you don't understand what the game is about and what you can expect from dlc.

It's the last new area, and, like TTK before it, generally I consider the end of the campaign as more of an "end of Act 1" scenario. (TTK feels even more like a "late title card" situation with the way it drops the logo lockup.) I wish there were more like the first and last story missions but thw actual Plaguelands itself is huge and there are new missions within those other quests you should have up (after doing some Patrols a new quest opens, etc.)

It's definitely not as big and brassy as TTK was (and Saladin and Shiro are wet blankets next to someone like Cause), but if you dig in a little in the post-campaign there's still a lot to offer. It won't be everyone's bag, though.

I just got the Y3 Gjallarhorn and man, that last mission was pretty hilariously fun. Ever since starting over on Xbone I missed having that little guy in my Vault.

Archon Forge kind of sucks....

1. It's tucked away, should be in a nice open area for everyone to access and encourage players to join in

2. Offerings.... don't stack, can only have one, never ever fucking drop for me

3. Boons earned?! HOW?! where?! what?!

/endrant

I would play it more, it is fun when it actually goes off, but to get it actually going is very frustrating.

Bungie pls.

Top of the page Confessions

1) I only started playing the story last night
2) After getting a PB/CB/Full Auto Hopscotch I realized I like it better in pve. Gulp.
3) Supremacy is really fun with friends!
4) DGAF is best GAF.
5) I still miss Drizz.

Court of Forge

I wish, even though court of oryx got boring pretty quickly. It was nice to be able to run it whenever, and even hop in to help players when you see them doing it.

They said Archon Forge was supposed to be an improvement on this because players enjoyed it, but I haven't heard many positive things about it yet :(

Can onyone tell me at what point do you get to select the Iron Artifact from the Iron Temple?

I finished up the whole quest line on my 2nd and 3rd characters and I never got the needed mat to turn in for the Iron Artifact.

I have the spring one on my hunter, would love the other two (turn enemy into ally, and DoT burn reduction)

Anyone?

*edit*

Nevermind, found it here After you finish the story you then need to accept a quest and perform 1000 noble deeds.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I just started using my Bad Juju and I totally felt in love with it, that full auto + autoreload after every kill + super fast charging makes it a real monster in PvE against low-mid tier mobs

Just out of curiosity, how does it compare to NTTE?

What's the best way to get your light level up?

Only 335 atm

Complete quests to gain access to 350 artifact and class items.

Buy a 350 ghost from Vanguard or Ceucible (75 marks).

Buy as many pieces of 350 gear as you can.

Run Heroic strikes, CoE, and aim for reward packages from vendors.

350 is pretty quick if you make use of every daily mark acquisition method.

Make sure you level all legendary items you're going to dismantle (no need to actually pay for the perks, just make sure all the circles we green) so you get 5 marks instead of 3.

First public event of the day nets you 10 (or is it 15?).

Daily heroic mission, and the pvp modes.

You'll get to 350 pretty quickly. From there it's strikes and CoE and vendor packs.

Going to start a few CoE runs in 20 minutes time. Seems to be a good way to get over the 350 hump.

Really would like to get a run or two of CoE in. Is anyone willing to help? It's apparently pretty good for LL gains!

So if you have Iron Gjally you practically get two Gjallys at the end of the quest? lol gg Bungie.

The real kick is the thing is nowhere near its former glory, and my current best legendary RL just feels so much more effective. ;_;

Are you guys farming Omnigul at strike level 320 or 350? I'm at level 348 at the moment, just did an Omnigul strike at 320 and all the blue engrams were between 245-340, is that normal? What do you guys recommend to increase my light level?

Did they really hit it that hard? I just finished the quest last night, haven't leveled it or really gotten to play with it yet.

It's inline with everything else, it doesn't feel any more effective than cluster bombs now. They had to do it, the previous version was ridiculous and trivialised content and became a requirement for certain activities.

Still, having had a Ghorn since the start of Y1 it feels wrong. I kind of wish they'd left it to memory.

It's not a bad RL at all, though, it's as good as most other Exotic heavies and the tracking + wolf rounds are good. Perhaps I'm simply too hung up on the nostalgia. Maybe someone will crunch some numbers soon as prove the above completely wrong.
