So he's sorry that Oculus is getting their reputation dragged in the mud.

Not sorry about giving money to the group.

You're sorry?

The Daily Beast story specifically says that Luckey told them he posted as NimbleRichMan, and the organization reportedly listed him as a Vice President, and both the organization and the account said that any donation to the organization would be matched by said anonymous near-billionaire . . .

He certainly didn't deny anything the beast article said

$10k might seem like chump change if you were filthy rich, but even rich people understand the power and influence demanded by funding that kind of money.

Just to be clear, the organization didn't list Luckey as their vice president, they listed "NimbleRichMan" as their vice president.

The daily beast needs to release the transcript where Luckey admits to being NimbleRichMan.

Or Luckey needs to sue them for defamation or libel or whatever it's called.
The act that Facebook still did not respond tells you alot.

This is what's blowing my mind. He's gonna play he said/she said with a reputable outlet when he's the one with an entire career to lose?

Dude's a moron and digging himself an even deeper hole. Racist dumbass.

You better be real sure the conversation never happened when you're trying to pit your word against someone who probably recorded it.

I'm questioning if I've ever read a public apology that actually involved someone being sorry for what they did

Because Luckey sure as shit ain't sorry

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the dude is catching himself in a lie here.

So in the end it was:
Basically "Sorry I got caught".

Period.

We can smell the bullshit. I'm sure he thinks we're stupid, but we aren't.

Go read the replies to that post on Facebook. People are lapping up this crap like there's no tomorrow. People don't see how what he did was in any way wrong. So yes, people are, in fact, stupid enough to buy this.

I am deeply sorry that my actions are negatively impacting the perception of Oculus and its partners.

But you're not actually sorry you did them. Read you loud and clear, Palmer.

And I don't buy his excuse for a second.

Surely The Daily Beast has him on audio saying he is NimbleRichMan? That could solve this Situation quit fast

Ah the Shaggy defense, "It wasn't me"

But we caught you on Reddit, "It wasn't me"

But you bragged to the media, "It wasn't me"

You were listed as VP, "It wasn't me"

So he is deeply sorry for his actions, but his actions are being misrepresented?

Also regardless he admits to making donations to Nimble America, which is still a very bad look.
