DigiTimes: Foxconn trialing production of NX, ~10m units expected annually

Same account is now tweeting that it's just a video about recent news. Not any actual news/announcement.

Why anyone expected otherwise, from a channel that has never done otherwise, is beyond me.

But then again, there are people who think Rosti's a legit insider based on nothing but feelings, soooo

Why do people link to these random twitter accounts...

I know, right? Really annoying. Anyone can have a twitter account and say anything.

When NoJ makes an official statement regarding NX or when they plan to talk about it, that will mean something.

Everything else....

People are bored and post everything NX related they find. That twitter account wonders even how people misunderstood their tweet:
People we do not have any unannounced information. Where do you get this from, a tweet announcing our next #NintendoNX News video? Calm down

Really I think I unsubscribe this thread and just wait for real news before I catch this madness.

Just ran into this on my linkedin news feed. Not sure if this has been posted yet, and I can't create threads.

Yeah it's been discussed, and no, it's not news, it's almost certainly a placeholder price and date. And it's likely been taken down because of the shitstorm it created when people found it.

NX is making us all go crazy...

No beer and no NX makes Homer... something something

A proper #NintendoNX News update will be up tomorrow!

Literally every time they talk about how something "will be up" it's a video from them.

Commonwealth Realm ‏@Commonrealm Sep 24
Inside #ZeldaBreathoftheWild on Bosses will be up on Tuesday. We are also preparing for the 30K Subscribers celebration!

Commonwealth Realm ‏@Commonrealm Sep 19
Will Metroid finally make its grand return on the #NintendoNX? The special with @MacintyreProduc will be up soon!

Commonwealth Realm ‏@Commonrealm Sep 12
Inside #ZeldaBreathoftheWild on Dungeons and Shrines with @ZeldaMasterLuke will be up in one hour! #Zelda30

What happened is that people are crazy and take everything as news.

True but their explanation now is pure bullshit. They knew what they were doing there.

What the hell is there of NX news to justify a re-cap never mind a video? The last news and virtually all we have from Nintendo themselves is NX not at E3 and release will be March 2017. The end!

I think anybody who links a twitter account that had never had any information even close to resemble a leak should be banned.

It's like drive-by shitposting.

I was watching a rumor video talking about the differences between Tegra X1 and X2 and then combining that with this hybrid concept and how Nintendo loves to come out with new iterations of their handhelds.

The feeling is that if Nintendo targets the X2 or a custom version, it will be able to run basically everything that the XBox One and PS4 can run.

What if the reason they went this route is that Nvidia keeps coming up with new architectures in this series that can scale up to whatever the consoles can do. Meaning the NX will be just powerful enough to keep up with whatever comes out after PS4 and XBO.

NX can simply upgrade their architecture, play the same games, and still be a place for ports for the existing consoles, beyond this current generation.

So fellas/ladies, what should we expect from the NX graphically? I was looking up the Tegra X1 specs, which I guess right now is our bare minimum point of reference for what NX should be capable of if EG is to be believed, and it seems that just going by raw numbers comparison, the X1 has almost 3 times the processing power of the WiiU, with the added benefit of support for modern graphical effects enabled by it's support for DX12 and Vulkan. Should we be expecting Xbox One PS4-ish visuals pared down a bit, on an *allegedly* 720p screen? Or is that too optimistic? And how well would those visuals scale to a full fat HDTV? So many questions running through my head lol.

So how's the rumours going right now, what are they waiting for? Is there any sane reason why they haven't unveiled it yet? They started mention NX 1.5 years ago. All this waiting is annoying, feels like waiting for Christmas as a kid but there is no date so I can't even do a countdown, gah! :/

That state of the rumors don't matter.

The end of the Quarter meeting at the end of October will clear most things up.

It it comes via Nintendo Direct, expect to get advance notice on Tuesday or Wednesday each week. Outside of that period, don't expect to hear anything.

So wait for October 4th for a Nintendo Direct announcement on October 6th. If that doesn't happen then repeat this expectation for every Tuesday of every week until they announce the Nintendo Direct for the goddamn thing.

ie. Check Nintendo of America Twitter each week. We won't hear anything official outside of that channel from Nintendo.

I'm expecting NX games to look like Wii U games, maybe slightly better to the highly observant. The Tegra X1 footage didn't impress me.

I'm sure they know what they're doing.

I froth at the mouth whenever a possible rumor comes up as much as the next guy, but that didn't seem much like fake rumor teasing to me. Maybe the wording isnt great to people not following them but they just do news videos and were giving an update on their next one.

HOPEFULLY

Yeah, "hopefully" is the key word. I'm not sure that meeting providing info will be a guarantee. There will definitely be a comment about NX at it, but they could totally just say "We've decided to talk about NX next year, and as such, we will not be discussing NX at this meeting."

I could be wrong about this, but isn't most X1 footage running at 1080p? Running at 720p could mean the games visually push something more complex than that. But then you'd also have the issue of what it would look like on a Full HD TV...bah, speculating about what NX games will look like feels pointless because of how many variables there are. Those reveal trailers will certainly be enlightening.
