Despite the MCU focus, I expect Deadpool to definitely make an appearance, hopefully with Nolan North again. I love that voice.

With the success of the movie they can't ignore the main stream popularity. Even if they leave him off of the day 1 roster, Deadpool would for sure be a DLC character so they can cash in on him separately.

Even though Marvel doesn't own the movie rights, Deadpool still has 4-5 comics coming out a month. They have a stake in keeping his popularity/visibility up.

There are plenty of heroes outside of Fox or whatever movie rights Marvel/Disney don't have. They are playing nice with Universal and Sony so we will see Hulk and Spider. So many heroes. You guys will get over your shock, because it's a friggin new Marvel vs Capcom!

Also they say MCU focus, but I'm sure it's not limited to heroes that made an appearance in a show or movie yet, but the heroes they could add to it that have not been added, or may not be added.
