so it is finally raining on the 21th of spring and I get all the fish I need.
when I want to put them down in the community center the next day, I realize I used them all to make quality fertilizer..

I have a special chest for fish so that I don't accidentally make sashimi or fertilizer from the good stuff, I learned this the hard way as well. Check the travelling merchant as much as you can, I've finished plenty of bundles out of season through that guy.

I'm not sure if it's been posted:

This is going to affect the localization of the console versions of Stardew Valley more than the PC version. On PC, I can release the localization update as soon as we feel like it’s ready. Releasing a game on consoles is more complex and requires submissions well in advance of the actual release. This means the console versions will only be in English at launch, and we’ll have to patch in the other languages a little later.

http://stardewvalley.net/stardew-valley-localization-update/

Good to know that the console versions won't be held back by localization. I think we'll see an early December release.

should I only put basic stuf in kegs, the jelly maker and so on?

will beer be worth more, if I made it with a piece of gold star wheat?

will beer be worth mor gold, if I made it with a piece of gold star wheat?

I'm 90% sure crafted stuff always sells more than the ingredients used to make it, even if they're gold. There might be some weird exceptions to that, but looking at the wiki wheat will only ever go for 37g (41 if you have the Tiller profession). Beer sells for 200g minimum, and if you age it in the basement (late game upgrade) it can go for 400g each.

Heck, even grinding your wheat into flour sells for 50g.

The quality of the ingredient you put in doesn't affect the quality you get out (sadly, that seems like it would make sense), so what I usually do is sell my gold quality ingredients for an immediate influx of cash and dump the regular and silver quality stuff to process. It might not be optimal, but I can honestly say I've never cared much about that sort of thing in Stardew. That's just not why I play it. Your results may vary.

Everything produced from a jelly maker/keg will sell for more than the original product. The star level of the crop won't matter.

The only exception is Mead, which sells for 200G, while all of the Summer/Autumn flower honeys sell for more than that.

(I think the only other processed good that sells for less than the base product is non-Artisinal Truffle Oil from Iridium-quality Truffles)

Somebody else will have to suggest a mod, I don't use em. That said, if you're having trouble with getting things done, sprinklers can be a huge help. Even a bunch of the mid-tier ones that hit a 9x9 square can manage most of your farming if you break it up a bit.

I also check the traveling merchant for iridium sprinklers, since she tends to have them earlier than you're likely to be hitting the Skull Caverns successfully.

Zoom function is still in last time I played. You may need to re-enable the buttons under your status bar or something.

Ah yeah, livestock can soak up a bunch of time early in the day, and if you put it off too long they go to sleep and you can't milk or pet 'em. They totally need some kind of egg-gathering Junimo perk or something.

There should be an additional upgrade, that collects everything automatically.

With petting at least your wife can help you.

BTW: the secret Forrest is the only way to get hardwood?

and still looking for a time mod.

There's a chance for your spouse to get up early and do some chores for you, but it's random. I don't know that petting is something they do, I've only ever seen them mend fences, feed the animals (which, really, the auto-feeder handles) or water plants.

And yes, once your farm is clear, the hidden forest is the only place with hardwood.

You can also collect hardwood if you choose the Forest Farm and it respawn.

Just saw that on ConcernedApe twitter:

At least some do if I read that right.
They'll also water your crops.
But I do everything with sprinklers anyway.

I know about the other just didn't think they pet your pets lol.

There is a farm map you can choose that has it on the farm that respawns.

Ah, but technically what I said is true; once your farm is clear, the only place to find hardwood is the Hidden Forest. If you gather all the hardwood from the forest farm map, there's still only one other place to go for it.

Hey we aren't saying you are lying, just adding to it.

The forest farm map ones do respawn I believe. But yes the other random ones on the plots don't.

I know, just bein' goofy at this point.

There really should be hardwood tree seeds you can plant that take ages to grow or something.

you a right, the only feed the animals.

and you should be able to buy hardwood at some point.

and again: animals are way to time consuming. eggs, milk and so on should get collected automatically. at least with an additional update to your barns and coops.

I would also love for some of the short-term processing units (Recycler, Seed Maker, Cheese Press, Mayonnaise Machine, Loom, etc.) to have upgraded versions that you can create a work queue for. Seems like I end up with a treasure chest full of milk and eggs because I'm not hanging out there supervising them.

Once I get a Rabbit's Foot for the bundle I'm selling off all my animals, I can't be bothered tending to them all every morning now that I'm making decent money from crops. Milk and egg stockpiles are ready in case I want cake or something in future.

Anyone an idea?
Think I lost it in the skull cave.

I checked google, sounds like it should appear next to you when you wake up the next day. If that doesn't work, I would try visiting the blacksmith and farm supply / livestock store and see if they're set up to sell you one.

Beyond thay you might have to do something like edit your save file, I'm not sure.

everything is fine..

found it in a chest, I checked at least twice befor.
it was there the whole time. stitting right next to my iridium pole, I thought I had lost too and already bought a new one of..

Any word on the console ports? Last time we heard anything was when they said the translations would be delayed but the console ports were still on track for a 2016 release. It's almost December and we haven't heard a peep since. I'm worried they might get delayed or canceled.

Have I missed anything?

Canceled? Never.

It won't be delayed because they've already sacrificed the localization. I'm sure that console versions are on track.

Expect some news at the start of December.

^lol at that pic.

BTW who did you guys pick as your waifu or husbandbro? I went with Abigail, was about to go with Leah or Penny but eh...

It does seem like most of the dudes are slackers though compared to the women. Nearly all of the women work or have some sort of job while most of the men are kind of dreamers or beach bums lol.

Leah. Artistic + Redhead = Win. She also has her own place and seems to be the most grown up (whereas all the other choices seem like they're teenagers).

Haley is a spoiled brat, Abigail is too kooky, Penny would mean having Pam's trashy drunken ass as a mother-in-law. Don't really have a gripe with Maru, and Emily wasn't an option when I started playing (and I wouldn't take her from poor Gus anyway).

And yeah, all of the husbands are pretty off-putting; Preppy Sports Bro (Alex), Beach Bro (Elliot), Extreme Sports Bro (Sam), Basement Dwelling Gamer Bro (Sebastian) and then Shane is just... a complete drunken disaster.

Harvey is the only husband worth a damn (coincidentally, he's the one my actual wife picked on her playthru). He also seems to be the only grown up and independent male choice.

Yeah, Leah, Harvey and Elliot are the only ones who feel like adults, everyone else seems like, immediately out of high school. Sam has an event where he drops an egg on the floor and his mother gets mad at him, and it's like, ok, this makes him look like he's 12.

One of them just stands outside his house and tosses a football in the air for a good portion of the day. LOL

Also, I can't find a hazelnut to save my life.

Truthfact: I have probably interact with Elliot less than any character in the game. I rarely hit the beach up and his schedule seems odd so I almost never see him.

On the ground in Autumn, I believe. Could always check the traveling merchant to see if she has one, randomly.

I have been riding all over looking for them - found lots of blackberries and mushrooms - but the nuts are playing hard to get.
