PS4 Pro sold out in Japan?

I have been to bic camera, yodobashi and labi, can't find any evidence of the PS4 pro existing.

Is it sold out in Japan?

More like not sold at all.
What is this even supposed to mean?

Anyway, yes it's being sold. They got a few on Amazon but it seems they're running out of consoles right now. Probably wait until mid next week to get the new batch. Apparently even though FFXV didn't sell much by itself, it sold quite a few consoles.

Amazon JP still has stock.

Though you need to click on the link that shows all available sellers. As for whatever reason it has a marketplace asshole listed on the top page instead of the official amazon seller.

How is anyone supposed to answer this conclusively lol

He probably is asking to see if anyone knows of any place that is selling the PS4 Pro around those areas. Since he went to those areas and they were all sold out, maybe someone with more knowledge can tell him where to look.

Edit: beaten

I bought mine on launch day without pre-ordering no problem.
FWIW, I bought mine in a Tsutaya in a Tokyo suburb.

In limited region territories, Malaysia, PS4Pro is backordered all the way till January/February and while things are slightly better in Singapore/Indonesia, stock is practically non-existent as any new stock that come in are so limited it's completely gone to fulfill back-orders.

I would say that Pro is severely undershipped in SEA regions and I suspect Japan is experiencing something similar.

Out of stock outside of priority regions like US and UK.

I think they overshipped US and EU as you guys seem to have a nice surplus. FML.

Not a single one for sale in the whole country. Someone on GAF made a thread about it earlier.

Yeah I saw a bunch in Best Buy yesterday when I went to grab the Bourne movie. They were stacked up next to the 4K TVs. Will probably be gone soon.

Also in Japan. I've been around to several electronics stores, Tsutaya, etc, and I've never seen even an ad for ps4 pro.

Never bother with Yodobashi. They are literally the worst in Tokyo for bringing any sort of reasonable stock.

Did you try looking at the Shibuya Tsutaya? Since for whatever ungodly reason that place has stock of stuff that should be sold out on occasion. Odd considering how much foot traffic that place gets.

Huh? Tustaya? I thought they were just a rental place? Are you going to blow my mind and tell me I can buy new game stuff there?

But re yodobashi, I am about to buy a GTX 1070 from them. They have one for only1000yen more than than the cheapest on amazon and they have stock at most stores.

Same. Here in Osaka I've seen almost no advertising for PSVR or Pro.

Depends on the Tsutaya store itself. The larger ones usually sell games, yeah. However they don't sell new games at 0:00 release date, but rather 08:00 or so in the morning. At least some years ago they didn't, I don't know now (since I just buy everything from Amazon).

Yodobashi for games they usually have a pretty poor stock when it comes to like popular things. Outside of like the pre-order mess that you see on occasion with the massive lines.

Yeah some Tsutayas actually do sell new and used games. The Shibuya on in particular deals with games in the B2 floor. B1 is mangas and whatnots.

In the past Ive gotten my PSVR, MH games and bunch of other stuff from there. They also had a fair stock of the P5 LEs for a good while after release of the game. Could be that they just have a large stock of stuff due to how much traffic the area gets in particular.

Other smaller chains that are usually out in the suburbs that you might want to look at are things like GEO.

Pricing for pc stuff is hit or miss with them depending on what you are looking for. Then again most stores are. No fault of the store as they have to pay for the physical property, utilities, staff etc.

It's also out of stock till Jan/Feb in Singapore/Indonesia last time I asked. No way I could wait that long so I ended with the Luna ed slim PS4 instead :(

They probably look at markets like us where there's a high likelihood we're a 90+ % PS4 market share and think we'll wait it out and aren't afraid of competition.

That's......a pretty reasonable explanation, damn. Even so, for every "authorized" shop to only get something in the range of 2-4 consoles is fairly ridiculous, and that's with a month long wait for the first restock so far.

I was hoping to get mine by Christmas, but after checking with the shops I did reserve at, it seems more likely that they can only fulfill my order in January.

Thought this thread was silly until I went out looking for a PS4 Pro myself today, since it's being sold for high above the actual price on Amazon JP. Went to my local mom and pop game shop, and was disappointed to find it was randomly closed for the day. Went over to Geo, and it was sold out.

I want to buy one by tomorrow. Where should I go that would be absolutely sure to have it in stock?
