If I look at the catalogue of PS4 right now, and the Wii U, PS4 wins by fatality.
There's some great games on Wii U, but there's a reason why it didn't sell. (and no, it wasn't because of the name)

that's obvious, but to say that the wii u has only "5 games worth" when there are lots of people that enjoy the games that the system offer it doesnt ring well with me,
i mean if he doesnt like them, thats good, just leave it there, but indincating what games are worth or not, is not his call to make

I never understand arguments like these. I personally would only play Bloodborne on the PS4, and I have no interest in buying a console for just one game. Almost every other game not on Nintendo consoles is on PC which I much prefer over any of my current consoles. But I realize people have different tastes.
I own about 20 Wii U games that I absolutely love. I personally would say it has a much better catalog for me but you can never say one console has the best games objectively.

Imagine what will happen if we find out it's even worse. 1 SM and 2 A53s.
Or, even better, what if we find out it's much much better. 8 SMs/8 A73s clocked at 2x this rate. Reverse meltdowns would be so delicious.
Most of us assumed that the baseline for performance in docked mode would be a 1GHZ TX1 GPU. Meaning 512GFLOPS. Now this news tells us it's likely closer to 75% of that for docked mode. And 30% for handheld mode. That's not the best.
It's going to be a lock for all those Wii U and 3DS ports we know about.

PS4 has way more variety of games, covering way more genres, some of them, not even represented on Wii U. Thus there's no doubt PS4 has a better catalogue.

I agree. The argument could be made that Nvidia's tech is new in that Nintendo modified it to meet their needs. However, there is a segment of consumers that will not pay for outdated hardware (myself included). People have caught on to Nintendo's mastered art of reselling outdated hardware, repackaging it, and charging current tech prices to their consumers (+/-). Pinching their devoted 10,000,000 consumers each generation can only last so long if they continue to repeat their past mistakes.
Most people expected it to be much more powerful. Some of us were thinking a portable wiiu in terms of power. We got dismissed as crazies, yet those that expected more were the ones that went off the deep end.

It's okay to be disappointed. The leaked specs are below even the most conservative expectations.
That doesn't mean the Switch is going to be garbage. It just means that people are going to need a bit of time to readjust their expectations, which have basically been running wild for the last couple of months. People are coming down to earth in this thread.
Still arguable, but I'd have to break the glass and pull out those VC and Wii libraries.

Handheld mode: Visual parity with WiiU at 720P with perhaps overall smoother performance (brought about due to more modern architecture)
Dock mode: The same at 1080P
