Too late, now I have between this, Yakuza and Heavy Rain to play alongside Black Ops 3 and MwR Lmao I'm fucked

Sleeping Dogs feels very different than Yakuza to me. The Yakuza games were originally called a Japanese GTA. While Sleeping Dogs feels like a GTA game in Hong Kong which leads to less gun play and more martial arts action. Yakuza, on the other hand, is an adventure game with martial arts, rather than a straight up action game.

Just watch the backlog, don't become like the rest of us and have hundreds of unplayed games.

Knack and Jack Pack 2 for me. Absolutely terrific sale. There's tons of games and something for everyone at super low prices. Good job, Sony.

Not a popular opinion, I know, but I really enjoyed it. I hope you do as well.

If you haven't played Sleeping Dogs before be aware it's pretty awesome. One of the greatest surprises of the year it was released.

Will they add more games later?

I played a fair bit on PS3 back when it came out but ended up loaning the disc to someone who never gave it back. Might jump on the PS4 version.

How is Valiant Hearts everyone? Worth a playthrough with the wife? Also, Gauntlet?

Wait, PS3 right? Surely not PS4
Not as far as I can tell :(

Always wanted Persona 3 but could never decide between P3P or FES.

My PS3 died a while back, so I don't really have a choice anymore. Should I go for P3P? Heard it doesn't contain the true ending, and that you don't really develop as much of a connection with the characters since it's lacking cutscenes and they aren't animated.

Suppose I could also buy the physical game and dig up my PS2, or play via emulator.
Sucks because there really is no definitive version. I've enjoyed my time with Portable more than FES though. Portability is the biggest factor for me though when it comes to RPGs. I'd say for $5 you can't go wrong.

Does Jack box party pack 2's Quiplash include any new material not found in Quiplash or Quiplash pack 1? Quiplash is the only game I like and I already own both Quiplash and the pack 1 separately but would buy this just for new Quiplash material alone.

How long is this deal good for, please?

The answer is at the top of this page.

My recommendations:

Injustice UE on PS4 - huge package for $5. The Vita version is pretty solid for $5, too. Kind of ugly, sub-native res, same content. Not cross-buy, fyi

Risk of Rain on PS4 and Vita

Assault Android Cactus PS4

Dark Cloud 2 PS4 - this version was my first and it's an awesome, weird mix of JRPG concepts. The cel-shaded graphics look really nice rendered at 1080p. The art direction is kinda doofy but that's okay. Voice acting is lol.

Tomb Raider DE on PS4

Trials Fusion on PS4

Skullgirls 2nd Encore on PS4 and Vita - Phenomenal fighter for $5 and it IS crossbuy

Street Fighter x Tekken on Vita - pretty impressive port with cross-play with PS3. Really nice native-res graphics

Metro 2033 and Last Light Redux on PS4

Sleepy Dogs DE on PS4

A lot of the PS3 games are great, too, but I don't feel like typing it out and I assume most us know which of these old-ass games are good.

The only PS4 games that look interesting to me are the PS4 classics, especially Dark Cloud 2. Loved that game. Kinda sad though that those are the only things, but I'll at least get DC2 and Rogue Galaxy.

Took the plunge on The Order. I'm going in with an open mind and looking for something to entertain me over the weekend.

$5 to experience the beautiful visuals and atmosphere seems about right. IT's pretty short too so it's not like you'll be investing a ton of hours on the mediocre gameplay.

Picked up:

Knack
Geometry Wars 3
Peggle 2

Already played Knack, but I traded in the physical version so it's good to have the digital one. And since I got that $10 notification from Sony for buying the Pro, I only spent $6! Not bad at all.

Metro 2033 and Last Light Redux on PS4.
Didn't realize Skullgirls 2nd Encore was a crossbuy, since the Vita version isn't on sale. I see it in description now, though. Thanks for the heads up!

I did some reading on Metro, and the only thing holding me back is that it sounds like your ammo supply stays pretty low throughout the game. That was always the one thing that I didn't like in the [older] Resident Evil games, especially when the saving is slightly off and I end up in a loop of facing off against the same enemies without any ammo to make moving forward possible. Do you think I'd still be able to enjoy either of the Metro games? They look great, and I love the sound of the story/theme. Just not sure if the gameplay will frustrate me or not.
(basically what I'm asking is if I can just be stealthy instead of trying to take down an enemy with three bullets)

I was hoping to see some goodness. Maybe a double dip on Hyper Light Drifter...the Witness on cheap, Hotline Miami 2 cheap, rise of the tomb raider, etc.

This is forgettable stuff.

It's not that kind of game. You won't be "afraid" of using bullets like in the early RE games. It's very light on the survival aspect.
If you're even half decent at shooting you'll be fine. If not, the stealth elements are pretty good. Stealth might even make the game easier if you're good at it.
It's not a game you'll get stuck on or cornered or anything like that.
I didn't think it was any more difficult than a Halo, Killzone or Call of Duty.

They're both great games worth playing especially if you like story and plot in your games.

I have a couple of questions about PSN. So I've never been part of the PSN ecosystem and I'm getting a roommate with a PS4 I'll have access to next week so I'm wondering what the differences are between it and Xbox live in terms of digital games attached to an account.

Journey is what I'm after, looks like ill need PSNow for Tokyo Jungle.

So If I make a PSN account online, purchase Journey, will I be able to recover my account on a PS4 and play without an issues? Will the game be tied to that machine? If I end up buying a PS4 for Horizons is there any penalty for having purchased games on another unit?

Thanks for the help.

Bought these. Under $40

Ps4
risk of rain
Trials Fusion
Sleeping Dogs
Knack
Goat Simulator
Psychonauts
Dark Clour 2

PS3
Devil May Cry HD
RE Revelations

Such a sweet flash sale.

Speaking as someone who bought Asemblance at launch and got 100% completion: don't bother.

There are only 4 locations. The only gameplay is revisiting these locations over and over again, randomly examining arbitrary objects to find the arbitrary sequence that will trigger something new. Because you "use" objects with a "zoom in" button, there are no prompts and the next trigger could be literally anything.

Oof, that sounds rough, I think I'll skip it for now. Maybe I'll get it later. Thanks for the write-up.

Anyone have any thoughts on Zombi?

Was looking at it when I wanted a Wii U, is it still worth it?

So right now Im at :

sleep dogs
android assault

Still considering:

rouge galaxy
zombi

Picked up:

Rogue Galaxy
Dark Cloud 2
Okami HD
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Not too bad of a haul, pretty satisfied with this sale.

This would be awesome if I could stay logged into the PSN. Keeps logging me in, then immediately logging me out, :|
