How do the same company with a better engine and 8x more powerful GPU/ CPU went from this:

mass_effect_2_shepardntpn0.jpg

to this:

is beyond me.

Looks so boring and generic.

The world will never know.

Are gay/lesbian storylines confirmed for Andromeda?
Fairly certain they are.

It feels like Bioware has this super-optimized development pipeline for party-based RPG games now and this is just another one from that line after DA:I came off it a while ago.
At least it feels that way when it comes to animations, model quality/type and overall design. Somehow it leaves very little room for creativity or anything unique.

Better hope the writing is good.

I like Cora's short hair. Hope she can hook up with Sis Ryder.
But the party overall isn't that interesting looking. Hoping for lot's of interesting romanceable non Party members.

Overall an OK trailer. Now let's show the gameplay!

I get the feeling this was aimed to appeal to as many people as possible and it has not quite hit the mark.

i cant wait to play this game. first shepard was generic as well. glad that is the only complaint they can come up with LOL.

i can already see how the next game will expand to the other arcs seeking the human's help. lulz

Probably the best trailer to make someone into the game. It gave just enough of the story to get a feeling for it. Love it. Loved the new chapter on masseffect.com as well that went into your human squadmates.

Yeah... really looks like more of the same... definitely not Day 1 for me. =P I'll be balls deep in Nier:A anyways.

The villain seems like another "I'm so evil, look at how evil I am!" kind of villain.

Saren's character was full of tragedy and misguided intentions, and indoctrination.

Sovereign was menacing, but he didn't come across as being cheesy.

The Illusive Man was another complex character, who had understandable motivations.
ME3 dumbed him down a bit.

Of course, he could be completely different in the full game.

He seems nothing like the Didact, also the Didact is a terrific Villian if you read the forerunner trilogy.

Halo 4 had a great Story, and gave the characters more personality than ever before. It's fault was in the gameplay and multiplayer departments. Which I fell MEA will nail.

The two games do share their lead writer...

day one

In the youtube comments................

Why are you even looking at Youtube comments, most of those are made by people who aren't even bothered enough to look at the entire video and just want to spout bile, as evident by his "probably lesbian" part. Even though in the trailer she is making out with Male Ryder

It does have an assembly line feel to it and I don't know why.

Very meh trailer. I'm still there day 1 but... meh.

That default male MC is somehow aggressively off-putting in his blandness, thank god that's easy to fix.

The dialogue is bad but I give cinematic trailers a partial pass on that as you want generic cliches in trailers as an easy entry point for potential customers.

I feel like i can wait on reviews and GAF impressions (after the hype dies down) before thinking about buying this one. Too many great games in 2017 and too big backlog.

yeah, that's my feeling too.

certainly not going to preorder this.

but not going to lie, i'm excited to see this in 4K.

It does have an assembly line feel to it and I don't know why.

Because it's the fourth game in a series that's lasted a decade and you're now familiar to its beats.

It's almost impossible to continue a franchise long enough without a feeling of repetition seeping in.

There are even people who complain that Ocarina of Time is just recycling A Link to the Past elements, only in 3D.

Honestly, I choose to just roll with it. I'm getting a Mass Effect experience, and seeing things that remind me of that universe is not a negative in my mind unless there is nothing truly new to see or discover, and I doubt that's the case.

Didn't know Nolan North was doing the MC. I guess people still want Drake in every game.

Also, the Avengers line has to be intentional, right?

Shit , still day one because there is not a single game Bioware releases that i disliked BUT...

Everytime they show us this the hype drops, everytime i see new footage faces look worse with bad textures, in mass effect 2 and 3 alien faces look so good, here they look so ... meh.

Character party looks bland as fuck, where are the Garrus, Mordin, Kasumi, jack, these look all space marines with no originality. There is a biotic but its dressed like the typical space marine soldier. Its missed.
There is not a single character here that i can say its one upgrade from the last triology. The first time i saw the characters in shepard triology i loved them all at first sigh.

And lets not compare this to story trailer from mass effect 2, looks so bad in comparison.

Pr for this game was bad from the start and continues to be bad.

I like the new race they showed, they looked cool.

That blonde girl is probably one of the most boring designs In Mass Effect. Is like Ashley and James had a fucking daughter.

Also the character variation is seriously lacking, i dont know if thats becuase of the low number of squadmates, but wow, really boring start. If they are not charismatic this game will fail on its face.

I know this are 3 games, but holy shit:

I just love how people just shit on this game just to have something to either complain about or shit on lol. I think it looks fantastic can't wait to play it on my pro and ks8000!!!

Hah wondered if it was male and female ryder together until she kissed him.

At least she is blonde. I hated that miranda didn't have blonde hair like the actress portraying her.
